At the end of the day Sunday, we piled into the car and drove the first portion of the Going to the Sun road - just as far as Rising Sun and walked to a waterfall. Dan did his best Captain Morgan. and I look wholly unimpressed with nature. Monday was the real deal - Going to the Sun road from beginning to end. A few highlights:. And the accompanying selfies:. Work has been keeping me super busy, but the kids come with me to as much as possible. They are definitely going to grow up in the Ag department, but at least they tell me they have fun. Saturday, May 15, 2010. What an exciting time the last few weeks! School ended for me on May 5 and I spent the next few days with my mom traveling to Shreveport, LA, to help my sister get settled in to her new home. It was an exciting and long trip! We came back on mother's day and I arrived home finally at about 6 that evening! Andy had a wonderful card for me and the kids each made a card for me, too cute! We all had fun watching them! On life and family, with a smattering of autism. May 20, 2013. Two autistic children have died in the last week. They’ve gotten away from the safety of their homes and families, and they’ve drowned. I don’t think a single autism parent can hear or read those stories, and the hundreds like them, and not feel a spasm in their heart and gut. Judgement is easy, when you don’t understand. Did I mention he was obsessed with water? Did I mention that he rarely slept? We did all we knew to do to keep him safe.
