Fish, Bike, Run: October 2012
http://fishbikerun.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Fish, Bike, Run. Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Mt Tam Tam and a Wildflower. With the sun quickly racing toward the southern hemisphere (and with only a few weeks left in Northern California), my new friends Tedd and Dave decided to take me on some of the area's iconic bicycle rides. The ride was incredible! Fast forward to this past weekend and once again, Tedd, cooked up another big ride. This time we would be tackling not one, but two big climbs that the Chico area cyclists tout as their best. Nor...From ...

Fish, Bike, Run: Colusa Life
http://fishbikerun.blogspot.com/2012/09/colusa-life.html
Fish, Bike, Run. Friday, September 21, 2012. Forth of July Parade on Market St. Life here in Colusa is different. It's different like so many other places I've lived over these past four years. Colusa has it's own people, space and pace. I like Colusa. It is a quiet community where everyone is friendly and will go out of their way to help you. Colusa is Americana. I am one of four cyclists in town. Yes, there are only three people that ride with haste in Colusa. I am number four. Colusa is in...I have tw...

Fish, Bike, Run: March 2012
http://fishbikerun.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Fish, Bike, Run. Sunday, March 11, 2012. Taking in the waters at a hot springs near Denio Jct, NV. I think that the decompress was good for me. It freed me up physically and mentally so that I could get back to running, cycling and even some swimming. Fishing in southern California is for the birds, so that one will just have to wait until I get back up to Montana later this year. On an open road. And since we were living at the beach, what a better place run! It was a gray, drizzly day today, but the ri...

Fish, Bike, Run: April 2011
http://fishbikerun.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Fish, Bike, Run. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Okay, I have now realized three things: I'm old, I'm slow and I'm fat. Granted, I've got loads of endurance, but all that the past six months of marathon training has given me was a distant view of the peloton racing on up the road. It wasn't entirely my fault, or was it? This wasn't supposed to happen. On a positive note, Bob and I allowed Big Alex Gallego to get up the road and to hold onto the lead to win the Master's A race. John finished second to win th...

Moonstruck in Montana: Wow! What a ride!
http://moonstruckinmontana.blogspot.com/2011/12/wow-what-ride.html
Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud. Of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! Hunter S. Thompson. Bonfire at Hotel Albert. Life these past seven months (7 months! Since my last post, I have been from here. Kayaking in Glacier or, as we like to call it, heaven. Getting my caulk on at Hotel Albert. Kayaked, rode moonlig...

Moonstruck in Montana: April 2011
http://moonstruckinmontana.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 22, 2011. Day 1 of Unrealistic Optimism. I still find it surprising that even though I do live in a motorhome, that desire to get my hands in the dirt is as strong as ever. I'm like a baby sea turtle that will not be stopped from getting his flippers in the salty sea. I must. Garden even if it means I garden contained. Not my favorite but, hey, what's a travelin' gardener to do? And decided to commit to attempt my vegetable garden in containers. Have you signed up? It's not too late! The da...

Moonstruck in Montana: Gardening Contained
http://moonstruckinmontana.blogspot.com/2010/02/gardening-contained.html
Tuesday, February 9, 2010. We had a little orchid mishap on our way home from Vegas. A couple of weekends ago. The motorhome. Took a bump just a little too fast and the landing was a bit too much for the pot containing one of my orchids. Of course this meant I was given free rein to run right over to a local garden center to replace the pot. Yippee.cough, ack. I meant, too bad, so sad. The culprit that started the whole thing, Cymbidium. Eastern Promise. (Promise of inciting riots if you ask me! Zen gard...

Moonstruck in Montana: First Day Of Spring
http://moonstruckinmontana.blogspot.com/2009/03/first-day-of-spring.html
Friday, March 20, 2009. First Day Of Spring. I knew I was in trouble when I caught myself with my nose pressed up against the glass of the local garden center wondering if I could possibly keep a hybrid tea rose alive in our rolling tin can that we now call home. Ah, how I miss my garden right now! Susan, I love the photo of you in your profile. You are looking so thin and blond! March 24, 2009 at 11:53 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Fish, Bike, Run: June 2011
http://fishbikerun.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Fish, Bike, Run. Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Back in Montana.and Loving It. Well it has been 9 weeks now since we packed up and headed north. It is FINALLY warming up here, but we are still getting weekly storms and our rivers are swollen with 100 year flood runoff. With the weather so rough, and the new job, it has been easy for me to put off cycling (and racing for that matter). It seems that this year is not going to be the year that I get back into racing. Instead, I am going to ride for pleasure. Next u...

Fish, Bike, Run: February 2011
http://fishbikerun.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Fish, Bike, Run. Sunday, February 13, 2011. Legs Don't Fail Me Now. Just a few more miles. It's been a while since my last post. Needless to say that it's been a long haul, these three-and-a-half months. My life has been consumed with Pfitz's marathon training, work and battling the elements. In early November I moved from Charlotte, North Carolina, to beautiful. It is where the winds blow.ALL THE FRIGGIN' TIME! Oh well, back to the drawing board. It was time for a change anyway, so I looked up my tr...
