Maredsous 10 Tripel | An Engineer and His Carboy
https://joshthebrewmaster.wordpress.com/2010/10/14/maredsous-10-tripel
An Engineer and His Carboy. 2010/10/14 at 8:26 am. Is a Belgian Ale in the Abbey style but produced by the Duvel Moorgat Brewery. Under a naming license from the Maredsous Abbey. In Denée, Belgium. As with the Rochefort 8. This beer in one of three in the Maredsous line which consists of the 6% ABV Maredsous 6 Blonde, 8% ABV Maredsous 8 Brune, and this 10% ABV Maredsous 10 Tripel. Despite this brew’s apparently heft price tag I would wholeheartedly recommend this beer to any connoisseur. Perhap...You are...
The Herrmann Brew Company Blog: January 2010
http://weekendbrew.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Recently I brought a bottle or two of homebrew to my friend Marty, he's a folksy guy from up north. He will unabashedly pick up a guitar and an impromptu hootenanny invariably ensues. I join in. I'm hip to it. Although in most social situations I attend the capacity to play an instruments decays exponentially with the amount of beer consumed. I knew immediately what Nicole would want. Last April she went gaga when we discussed St. Arnold Brewing Company. ABV: 6.81 %. Our dest...
The BR Beer Scene: Stone Ruination IPA
http://www.brbeerscene.com/2010/05/stone-ruination-ipa.html
Friday, May 7, 2010. Here's one that you can find in the BR stores with better beer selections. the Stone Ruination IPA. This is out of California and Stone Brewing Co. Dustin Davis brought this particular one over to taste. it pours a clear deep gold color. Great head with good retention and lacing. Attractive but not exceptional. There is a ridiculous smell to it, Dustin says "it's like shoving a hop cone up your nose," and I agree. Just what an IPA should smell like. My prior Stone reviews:. So I gues...

Saturday, November 15, 2014. Parish Grand Reserve Day! Info and Sneak Preview. Alright, we are only one week away from the 2014 Parish Grand Reserve Day. If you already have your tickets ( they can be purchased here. Then you have made a great decision. If you're still unsure, I'm here to tell you that you don't want to miss this. The beer pours fairly dark as you can see with a large foamy head. The carbonation level is pretty high, but nothing like the Farmhouse IPA. Also available in 5 oz. pours a...
The BR Beer Scene: Feature Beer Friday! - Brash Cold Ass Honky
http://www.brbeerscene.com/2013/09/feature-beer-friday-brash-cold-ass-honky.html
Friday, September 20, 2013. Brash Cold Ass Honky. Surprisingly, this is only the second offering from Brash Beers. That I've had on Feature Beer Friday! And the first was a collaboration with Clown Shoes. This week Brash gets this space all to themselves with some Cold Ass Honky. I'm a little surprised that they received label approval with that name. but I guess this isn't Texas. They seem to be a lot more strict on the other side of the Sabine. Eric Ducote (BR Beer Scene), Jay Ducote ( Bite And Booze.
The BR Beer Scene: December 2014
http://www.brbeerscene.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Review: Abita Wrought Iron IPA. Alright, time for a beer review, just me this time, so this isn't our Feature Beer, but Abita Brewing. Although I wasn't as impressed with the Imperator Black IPA. I thought it needed more hops, but I did think that the Spring IPA and Grapefruit Harvest IPA were steps in the right direction, so. Hopefully I feel the same about the Wrought Iron IPA. The first sip isn't quite as pleasant, the hops are all there, but the bitterness is a little hars...
The BR Beer Scene: Feature Beer Friday! - Goose Island 2013 Bourbon County Stout
http://www.brbeerscene.com/2014/11/feature-beer-friday-goose-island-2013.html
Friday, November 21, 2014. Goose Island 2013 Bourbon County Stout. I've been saving this review until just now, because as a lot of you know may know, next Friday will be the release of the Goose Island 2014 Bourbon County Stout. I still have a few mixed feeling regarding Goose Island. Eric Ducote (BR Beer Scene), Brenton Day ( The Ale Runner. Chuck Pierce ( Me And My Big Mouth. And Buddy Ethridge ( Baton Rouge Adventures in Beer. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle. Overall Rating: 94.75. Posted by Eric Ducote.
The BR Beer Scene: Feature Beer Friday! - Saint Arnold Amber Dry-Hopped
http://www.brbeerscene.com/2014/10/feature-beer-friday-saint-arnold-amber.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. Saint Arnold Amber Dry-Hopped. Time for our first ever Feature Beer Friday! Trip to the Saint Arnold Brewery. In Houston, TX. I'm sure almost all of you have heard of Saint Arnold and probably tried several of their offerings, but this is one I hadn't seen before. I've had their regular amber ale before, it was their first ever beer and has been around for about 20 years now, but I'd never seen a bomber of the dry-hopped version. Brenton Day ( The Ale Runner. Earthy and funky co...
