LArr; Back to Poem-of-the-Month. Uncle Jim’s wife had passed away and his brother thought he seemed lonely.  So he got him a parrot for Christmas.  Unfortunately, it was a pre-owned parrot.  With a crude vocabulary and a bad attitude. One day it just got to be too much.  "Quit it! He yelled, and shook the bird. This made the parrot really mad, and he swore up a blue streak. Jim grabbed him, and stuffed him in a kitchen cabinet.  The bird clawed, and scratched, and screeched. Jim was astounded at the chan...

LArr; Back to Poem-of-the-Month. An 85-year-old man was pretty darn healthy.  His doctor requested a sperm count as part of his physical. He gave the old man a specimen jar and said, "Please take this jar home and bring back a semen sample tomorrow.". The next day the 85-year-old man reappeared at the doctor's office and gave him the jar, which was as clean and empty as on the previous day. The doctor asked, "What happened? And the old man explained. The doctor was shocked!

POEM OF THE DAY

POEM OF THE DAY. Poems and images by Adrian Arias / English translation by Nina Serrano. Sunday, November 29, 2015. If you're far away. I don't want to miss you. But there are new leaves. Growing on the tree,. If you are near. I just want to look into your eyes. You make me feel days of fresh rain on my skin. If you are close I tremble. If you embrace me the sun shines,. And when you leave. My house turns blue. And my body disappears. In the noise of the street. I try to remember you. I know you're around.

Poem of Today – A New Poem from Simon J. Halliday Every Day!

A New Poem from Simon J. Halliday Every Day! May 13, 2014. Light and life in flowing streams. Let’s seek them out, beyond the schemes. For simple is the way of truth. It doesn’t need a super-sleuth. The world a stage? And everything’s just passing through. The hopes and fears of each mind. Will come and go whilst most are blind. And reading may not bring the way. So much is thought, but what’s to say? The depth of human-kind is rare. Don’t doubt you’ll find the ones who care. And once again, another dawn.
