History & mythology. I’m watching you. Ode to Autumn (day 1931). September 11, 2016 1923. When I was a little lad. I can remember quite vividly. How I’d run around in wool:. Jackets, mittens, and a toque. Rosy cheeks would rush between. Piles of raked leaves. Exploding as a shaggy dog may. Tongue half way to the ground. I remember putting my nose. Pressed right to the ground,. Smelling dirt and grass. And observing in minute detail. Leaves turning from green to brown. Crackle them along veins. Lasting in...

History & mythology. I’m watching you. Moon at Midnight Part XXXVI (day 2010). November 29, 2016 1450. One of our favorite places to go. To the South, about two hours. We had found the lookout after wandering. For medicinal herbs one summer day. We didn’t hear anything as we walked up. And we didn’t hear anything from where we sat. But looking out, we watched an abnormal amount. Of smoking coming from our village. I trotted ahead cautiously. Keeping my eyes on alert. And my hatchet in my hand. My guess w...

History & mythology. I’m watching you. Salt Water (day 1951). October 1, 2016 2341. Restless wrestling into oblivion. Spiders crossing midnight’s hearth. With an overused burden. Tucked deep inside a minor piano chord. Snapshot time frame over zoned. Freshly unground inside an attitude. Crawling blue veins starving. Death knocks at Love’s rusty gate. Salt water streaking pant cuffs. Boot prints trailing off. The Last Frontier (day 1925). September 5, 2016 2242. A land without reassurances. And perpetuate...

History & mythology. I’m watching you. Category Archives: I’m Watching You. October 5, 2016 1910. I bring my soul into your every hair. Floating and waving upon your whim. As the golden hour I should tell. With a full basket of blueberries. The Boxer (day 1933). September 13, 2016 1928. You were a boxer. After Big Jim’s Saloon. Took a bottle and you. Out to a cobblestone night. A muffled mind with intention,. Fireworks covered in mud,. And a slow slur that wound up. Walking a tightrope,. You knew so well.

History & mythology. I’m watching you. Moon at Midnight – Part IV (day 1978). October 28, 2016 2321. As I sat crosslegged in the little clearing. Hidden as I was, deep within the forest. Heading East to the land of the Old People. I wondered about the faces I might see,. Faces of the men and women who would greet me,. Faces of the children playing in fields. And fields growing with the vigor. Only well cared for fields of tender hands can grow. I knew I would find. In the land of the Old People. I felt i...

Written: 25 March 2002. Er liebt sie wie eine Schwester,. Aber es gibt noch viel mehr. Denkt sie ihm auch wie ein Bruder. Oder gibt es gar nichts da? Sie sind jetzt nur guten Freunde. Hat er mit ihr eine Chance,. Für etwas zu passiere . Nur Gott weiß die Antwort. Er will und wird warten auf ihm. Es ist sehr schwer auf ihm. Wart Außer sein Frau, keinem. Anderem Mädchen will er. Wo ist ein Weib, das den HERRN fürcht:. Das soll er total loben. Nur Gott weiß die Antwort. Gott sagt ihm, jeglicher Tag hat.

History & mythology. I’m watching you. Moon at Midnight Part XXXXII (day 2016). December 5, 2016 2349. On the third day we left. As always, it was hard to leave Amy, Frank, and Clarinet. But it was necessary. For I could see that Moon Cow and Tall Pine. Were eager to return to the family. I missed Willow and Lily. The first night we camped it was very cold. So cold, we woke up with a layer of frost on us. This made me a bit grumpy, and of course stiff. But soon we had a fire going. We made some warm tea.

Poems I Like | Ones I've collected down the years

August 4, 2015. Between plunging valleys, on a bareback of hill. Men in bunting colours. Bounced, and their blown ball bounced. The blown ball jumped, and the merry-coloured men. Spouted like water to head it. The ball blew away downwind. The rubbery men bounced after it. The ball jumped up and out and hung in the wind. Over a gulf of treetops. Then they all shouted together, and the blown ball blew back. Winds from fiery holes in heaven. Piled the hills darkening around them. Banks of a Canal. The coolt...

The trains are crowded tonight. Newcastle are playing that team from Spain. Shoulder to shoulder we fight. The bombers have struck again and again. They're our opponents who vie for the prize. Our glorious companions with tears in our eyes. Across the gleaming Tyne. Some lives about to intertwine. Up from London black guy Ed. Geoff the poet in Gateshead. Two blonde women friendship shared. Kathy K who's quite red haired. And a sparkling host of others. Passing by with some as lovers. Tall Brown eyes An o...

Come fly wing on wing! We’ll call to the valley below us to sing. Of mesas and canyons and wild-running streams. And blue-shaded mountains like mountains in dreams! PHILIP C. ELLSWORTH. Let me not be inured. The Ties That Bind. Epitaph for an Apple Orchard. Tell Me, Love. Mountain Lake in Autumn. If You Are There. I Believe in You. The Hills of Home. Remembrance of Things Past. Why I Try to Sing. The Cranes of Hart’s Basin. The Valley In Spring. The Ninth of Next November. What’s in a Name? Tell Me, Love.
