They inform, entertain, stimulate and inspire us with their words. But they're not always to hand - tucked away on a shelf or drawer just when we need to dip into them. Pictures are great too, but they're a bit one-dimensional (strictly speaking, they're two dimensional) but they give us that additional decoration that we need to bring colour and life into our rooms. But my first love has always been the Regency period in England, so I’ve returned. When I younger, I read every Barbara Cartland story I could wrap my hands around.
