Burnout can happen in any stress inducing, all encompassing area of our lives and parenting is no exception. In order to overcome burnout, you must make some long term lifestyle changes. I don’t have a 12 step plan, or a magic wand I can wave to get your life back on track but I can tell you what has been helping me. Reading my Bible and praying daily. This has been the biggest game changer for me (ya think?

Inspiration for Faith, Family and Frugal Living. Fear Fighting: Stomping Out the Image of Perfect {Guest Post}. I blame it on TV. I grew up watching the princesses. You know them, right? They were the ones whose complexions looked like porcelain, whose lips were the color of rose and whose lives were a hot mess. Until, the prince came in and swooped them up into his arms and forever changed their lives. I guess I still am. Because, in so many ways, I try to be them. Ugh I fall short. Or, do I? The lady i...

Life With Lonnie
Raising an autistic child. Monday, February 14, 2011. Links to this post. Thursday, January 20, 2011. Hard to get my head around but our miracle child just turned 13! Her birthday falls during winter break so it's hard to get kids here for a party - so we had cake with family and took Lonnie bowling. She really enjoys bowling and is getting pretty good, but she gets really frustrated when she doesn't knock down all the pins. Links to this post. How To Train Your Dragon. Links to this post. Raising Anchor - FOLLOW MO FROM LONDON TO THE WORLD
Throughout our journey on the airport train we had not seen nor heard any names of the stops that the train had made. At one station we saw lots of people suddenly get up and leave the train. We panicked and made a last minute decision to take a gamble and walk off the train! We followed the signs for the exit (all in Spanish) and ended up walking up a flight of stairs towards the entrance of the station. Still unknown where we were we confronted up a large sign ahead of us. It was in October when me and...

Raising Andersons
Thursday, December 16, 2010. Tonight three sweet little girls came to our house for some fun play time. They made necklaces, colored some crafts, dressed up a half dozen times and watched a movie. All 5 girls had a great time and one little boy behaved pretty well for someone who was a tad jealous. Mark and Deidre Anderson. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Parties, parties and still more parties. This shirt does not say BIG GUT even though it does cover one. :). Mark and Deidre Anderson. We are still alive.
