Dissecting a Daydream: Back to the Future
http://dissectingadaydream.blogspot.com/2008/06/back-to-future.html
Friday, June 13, 2008. Back to the Future. Less than three weeks left in Denmark and only a few days until I turn 29. It’s the beginning of the end. Where are the brakes on this thing? My life is a vacation. I live in Denmark. I work in my pajamas. I’ve taken nine weeks of vacation in the past ten months. Life is good. Speaking of going, in order to quell the near-constant cries of “When are you coming home? 8221;, “Are you still moving to Phoenix? 8221; and “You live in Denmark? And so we had under four...

Dissecting a Daydream: Go Forth Young Fulbrighters!
http://dissectingadaydream.blogspot.com/2007/10/go-forth-young-fulbrighters.html
Wednesday, October 3, 2007. Go Forth Young Fulbrighters! We're back from Germany.a wee bit wetter than when we left but with an overwhelming appreciation for hot showers (and dryness in general)! But, more on that later! This blog is completely lacking in that regard. But what it lacks in structure it will make up in lengthy descriptions about Danish beaucracy, cultural oddities and international debauchery. Really.what more could you want? Office is on a quaint. Right away, there are introductions.

Dissecting a Daydream: The Second-Largest City in one of the World's Smallest Countries
http://dissectingadaydream.blogspot.com/2007/10/second-largest-city-in-one-of-worlds.html
Tuesday, November 20, 2007. The Second-Largest City in one of the World's Smallest Countries. Chris and I can now cross Denmark’s first, second and fourth largest cities off our list of places to see! It just makes you want to quietly weep every time you see a shopping mall, cul-de-sac or drive-thru Dunkin’ Doughnuts back in the states…. Our train pulls into town around 2pm and we head straight to our hostel, the Aarhus City Sleep-In. The funky smell coming from the bathroom and relentless zooming of tra...

Dissecting a Daydream: The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
http://dissectingadaydream.blogspot.com/2007/12/most-wonderful-time-of-year_19.html
Wednesday, December 19, 2007. The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Now that Christmas is almost here, I figured I better hurry up and do a post on my favorite holiday: Halloween! Sure, I like Christmas. But it can't compare to the ghoulish extravaganza that is Halloween. When else can you dress up like Britney and drink until you look like K-Fed? When else can you carve Bush's likeness into a pumpkin and set it out on your porch for all the world to see? Why, Halloween of course! If you've ever spent Hal...

Dissecting a Daydream: Oktoberfest or Bust!
http://dissectingadaydream.blogspot.com/2007/09/oktoberfest-or-bust_22.html
Saturday, September 22, 2007. I wanted to do a post previewing our trip to Berlin and Munich (and Oktoberfest! And, finally, we had to adjust each other's massive backpacks as to not topple over in the middle of an airport somewhere in Germany. Posted by Becky Simmons. Beer by the liter? Oh, dear lord. Looking forward to hearing all about it! September 22, 2007 at 10:29 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 901 East Van Buren St. Phoenix, AZ 85006. Home: 602.283.5558. Cell: 602.677.5055.

Dissecting a Daydream: Domesticality, Here We Come
http://dissectingadaydream.blogspot.com/2007/01/domesticality-here-we-come.html
Sunday, January 20, 2008. Domesticality, Here We Come. Yep, the rumors are true.Chris and I are gettin' hitched! This engagement has been, quite possibly, the most well-planned romantic venture of all time. We've been talking about getting married pretty much since the day we met. We picked out the ring together back in July before we left for Denmark. We actually planned to get engaged in Norway. And then Chris announced that he would propose to me in Bergen. Was left to chance! Well, I knew that. The d...

Dissecting a Daydream: Is Something Rotten in the State of Denmark? Or is it Truly the Happiest Place on Earth?
http://dissectingadaydream.blogspot.com/2008/06/is-something-rotten-in-state-of-denmark.html
Thursday, June 26, 2008. Is Something Rotten in the State of Denmark? Or is it Truly the Happiest Place on Earth? I am hardly qualified to debunk Danish culture. I’ve only lived here for ten months, I don’t speak Danish and the closest thing I’ve ever taken to a cultural anthropology class was Soc 101. But like I was gonna let. The copious mental notes that I’ve been collecting for the past ten months have to go somewhere, right? Mo’ Welfare, Mo’ Happiness. Lunch, Dinner, Drinks. Having spent many a nigh...

http://dissectingadaydream.blogspot.com/2008/07/little-levi.html
Tuesday, July 15, 2008. Fallen asleep on Saturday night when my sister, Brenda, called my parent's house at 12:45am. It was time to hit the hospital.this baby was on the way! Mom and I got to go in and hold him after about 30 minutes. He's soooo cute. Very mellow too. And he sleeps a lot of course! I still haven't seen his eyes, however I'm told that they are blue! It was a long night but Brenda and Levi are doing great. Congrats Brenda and Ed! Check out my photos of the little guy. July 13, 2008.
