Flannel – Done! | The Rambling Repository

https://ramblingrepository.wordpress.com/2015/05/02/flannel-done

Last Minute Bow Tie Quilt. Flannel – Done! May 2, 2015. Ugh UGH. The McCall’s 6613 flannel shirt saga is over. Finished! Way back in November. I am just now getting pictures in spring. Ignore the kayak in the bottom of the frame. Don’t judge me. I learned a lot making this shirt, and will apply it to the next one (I haven’t cut it out yet, but I have this lovely black and white cotton check shirting waiting for meeeeee.). To be honest, this is the first time I’ve put on traditional woven cuffs, bands, an...

Espresso Leggings – FAIL. Quick and Easy →. A Whale of A Tale. November 16, 2014. Hur Hur. Yes, yes I did. We got these kits in at work from Cantik Batiks, so of course, ignoring the budget and my Firm Resolve to complete ten projects before buying another yard of fabric – I bought two. The first one is In Sync. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Address never made public). Friendship Braid Quilt – it’s an addiction | The Rambling Repository

https://ramblingrepository.wordpress.com/2015/04/07/friendship-braid-quilt-its-an-addiction

Cobalt Blue for Me! Glimmerglass Baby Quilt – Finished! Friendship Braid Quilt – it’s an addiction. April 7, 2015. Ahh, another quilt from the UFO pile turned into a finished object. I really am trying to finish things up, and it feels really good to cross things off of the list. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have 50 bazillion ideas in the queue, but let’s discuss this one, first? I used 13 different Japanese inspired prints, not from any one collection for the braids. I used the HexNMore ruler. I quilt...

Friendship Braid Quilt – it’s an addiction. Grandmother’s Flower Garden – Progress Post 1 →. Glimmerglass Baby Quilt – Finished! April 10, 2015. Last summer I took Nancy Feve’s. I used a mutlicolored King Tut thread, and quilted in diagonals across the quilt. The thread has colors that pick up the florals in the blocks. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. The Rambling Renaissance Man. Rambling: taking an irregular course; spread out irregularly in various directions. Renaissance Man: a person taking on multiple roles; a person of many parts. April 16, 2012. Opening Doors with Music in Rural Cambodia. On a balmy February night in Chamkar Bey near the hills west of Kompong Trach, Kong Boran strums his chepai, a traditional Cambodian long-necked guitar, and sings of his woes to a crowd of hundreds of all ages. Here on stage to help me. It is only me. The Kam...

Saturday, May 17, 2008. I made it through exams! On top of making it through the exams I feel really good about how I did on all of them, even FINANCE! On Friday after returning my 50 pounds of classroom books and binders I joined my fellow DISers for our commencement ceremony. It was a nice way to close out the semester with speeches from the DIS director, fellow students and faculty. Jokes were made about how great our Danish must be by now (ha! And how much we will miss the Danish winters (double ha!

Furniture Deals for the Cottage. Aug 13, 2015. It seems I've fallen off the blog train lately. Sorry about that! I've been consumed with organizing BlogPodium. A few projects I can't quite talk about yet, and, well, just enjoying what's left of the summer! Less than a month until school starts again. How can that be? While I haven't been blogging, I have been shopping for the new cottage. It's a great time of year to pick up summer furniture on sale and we have a new porch to fill! Luckily, in an impromp...

The joy of the heart is the life of the soul." Padre Pio. View my complete profile. 160;   Its summer, officially, now. That has change. Saturday, July 11, 2015. It's summer, officially, now. That has changed my status from a seasonal blogger to an occasional blogger. Not that there has been any particular occasion to prompt this little pictorial briefing, other than another happy July 4th in central Illinois. And our trusty physician assistant - always-help-in-a-pinch Angela. April and May found us (as ...

A young pastor's thoughts on culture, church, and the future of Christianity. Monday, July 27, 2015. A Heart for the Now. How we see the character of God shapes our sense of what faithfulness to God means and thus what the Christian life is all about." - Marcus Borg. What took me so long to read Marcus Borg? I began with his 2003 book,. The Heart of Christianity: Rediscovering a Life of Faith. As Borg sees it, there are two paradigms of Christianity at work:. Faith - a move from a focus on believing (th...

Rambling Rev | random thoughts on missions, discipleship, running and life

Random thoughts on missions, discipleship, running and life. Will You Stay Bitter or Get Better? June 29, 2015 6:57 pm. This past week, as most if not everyone here knows, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down a ruling attempting to redefine marriage. It was based on a desire to place the perceptions of a fallen society abov. Some people will be bitter towards God, blaming Him for something painful that happened. Some people will be bitter towards an authority figure such as a boss or a teacher. Bitterness ...

Sunday's Sermon: How to Love. In just three days, I’ll be celebrating my eighth anniversary of being a pastor. But the truth is I haven’t just been a pastor for the last eight years…I’ve been a Baptist pastor. And over all these years, I’ve come to appreciate some of the quirks that make Baptists Baptist.
