Which means I can actually store things down there. The reason we need a stone wall there, is to prevent the whole barn from gliding out. Next weekend we're putting up stones and filling in dirt for a flowerbed from the steps along the house to the driveway. I'm going to see if I can get roses to grow up there...

Ramblings from the cold north. Thursday, May 14, 2015. Yeah, I'm still alive and kicking and I'm still busy. Time is funny in the way it seems to go by faster the older you get. Not quite true, because if you add boredom into the equation, time stands still. That doesn't really change with age, other than having even more worries to think about when you're bored. Go away, I'm sleeping. I hate my period, it steals away all the fun in the world. Marianne has been in heath. I've started knitting again.

Saturday, December 27, 2008. On December 11th, my daughter Sherise had a darling baby boy. He is my first grandchild. His name is Maxwell Porter Robertson. He weighed 6lbs 13 oz. and was 19 " long. He has lot of dark brown hair. He is a good baby and hardly ever cries. I spent a couple of days and nights helping Sherise, mostly just holding the baby. Grandkids are the best. He's a pooping and farting machine. I have never seen or smelt anything like it. I guess he is a true boy. Sunday, October 12, 2008.

On this grand St Patty's Day - the celebrated birth day of our Lucy. Aka Patty one of 8 St Pattys Day pups). I would be a bit ridonculous if I did not record this day in all its victories and all of its wondrous horrors. Let's start by saying this. We named Lucy, Lucy the Valiant, after Lucy Pevancy of Narnia. Well it turns out she is not terribly valiant. What she is - is a nose. A nose with legs that is. And I don't take her for walks - I take her for a smell. Quite surprisingly it is actually helping!
