My BlogSong

Wednesday, May 02, 2012. Not the day I thought it would be. I know that cancer isn't easy.it's not supposed to be. It's ugly and mean and unfair. But I just wish it were a little more definite! Throughout this whole ordeal, nothing about my cancer has been definite! First we thought we were just removing simple calcification, and then it turned into an invasive cancer. Then we removed lymph nodes, but they disappeared! Now we've done a genetic test and it comes back iffy! Side effects of Cytoxan. Now I h...

My BlogSong: Past due...just like a library book!

http://ramblingsofanoldlady.blogspot.com/2012/04/past-duejust-like-library-book.html

Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Past due.just like a library book! Well, I should have written some of this a while ago. But you know what a procrastinator I am! Soon the cancer front. But I dealt with it. It was uncomfortable and awkward, but I had little pain, so it was okay. (Some really interesting stuff came out of there, but I don't want to make anyone gag before they read the whole thing! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers and encouraging words you sent my way. They help so much! I was going to call...

My BlogSong: Breasts Behaving Badly

http://ramblingsofanoldlady.blogspot.com/2012/02/breasts-behaving-badly.html

Tuesday, February 07, 2012. In March of 1991, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Last month, I was diagnosed with breast cancer once again. 21 years later.here we go again. When I first found out that my mammogram was wonky, the surgeon said that 80% of these types of tumors are NOT malignant. So I sort of felt kicked in the gut when I found out that mine WAS malignant, not to mention the fact that she got in there and there were 3 tumors instead of just one! The MRI will tell us if I need a mastectomy&...

My BlogSong: Medical Reports and A Cute Little Boy

http://ramblingsofanoldlady.blogspot.com/2012/03/medical-reports-and-cute-little-boy.html

Thursday, March 08, 2012. Medical Reports and A Cute Little Boy. First, I'll get the latest report from CancerVille (Zynga's newest game? Out of the way. Went to the Oncologist Tuesday.at the unholy hour of 7:30 AM! I am so amazed (though I probably shouldn't be) at how much things have changed since I last had cancer, 20 years ago! And if it's high, of course, we go the chemo route. Also, my cancer is hormone dependent, as was the other. When I was being treated 20 years ago,. I have to say that I feel.

My BlogSong: Next step...

http://ramblingsofanoldlady.blogspot.com/2012/02/since-my-recent-diagnosis-today-is-3rd.html

Saturday, February 18, 2012. Since my recent diagnosis, today is the 3rd day in a row I woke up well-rested and without my waking thought being, "Shit! The next step is an MRI, so I've been "trying on " machines. They are built for people who aren't overweight, so it was recommended that look around to find one where I'll be comfortable. However, upon looking at the first one, I remembered I won't be comfortable even if it's the Lincoln Tunnel of MRI machines! And I'm refusing to tap into savings! We wer...

Tales from the stamp room: Flower Pin Card

http://talesfromthestamproom.blogspot.com/2009/12/flower-pin-card.html

Tales from the stamp room. A look at what's going on in my stamp room and life in general. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. I have a friend who recently had some surgery, and I wanted to send her a flower pin to cheer her up. I didn't want to just stuff the pin in an envelope and send it off. So I made a card to attach the pin onto. It's a very basic, simple card. The only real embellishment is the scallop border on the right side of the card. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Thank you once again for this! In Real...

Tales from the stamp room. A look at what's going on in my stamp room and life in general. Monday, September 14, 2009. So, I thought I'd take you all on a tour of my stamp room. I did one a long time ago and a few things have changed since then. So I thought an update was in order. This is a shot of my counter height work surface. I'm a standing up stamper. So this is my main work area. As you can see, I like all my tools close at hand. I keep my cardstock. On a shelf under my countertop. They are suppos...

Tales from the stamp room: November 2009

Tales from the stamp room. A look at what's going on in my stamp room and life in general. Friday, November 20, 2009. I've been busy making flowers using the Big Shot and Sizzix Dies. Once you start making them, they are addictive! I've made mine into pins you can wear on a jacket or a tote bag or even a purse. I've seen smaller versions made into hair accessories for little girls which are too cute! She had worn one to the Stampin'Up! All with the Big Shot! Who knew it was so versatile and definitely fo...

Tales from the stamp room. A look at what's going on in my stamp room and life in general. Monday, October 12, 2009. I made this notecard. Tote from the Sizzix. Box#2 die from Stampin'Up. It's made from 2 boxes placed back to back and sticky stripped together. I made 4 notecards. With envelopes to put inside my tote, but you could easily fit several more. Here are the 2 card designs I made for the tote. The notecards. You can see how much room is left in the tote for extra notecards. Elizabeth * . *.

Tales from the stamp room. A look at what's going on in my stamp room and life in general. Thursday, September 17, 2009. Are you a list maker? I am a big time list maker. I call my lists my paper brain. So when I went to a downline. Meeting recently and made this project I was very happy! So super simple to make too. The first notepad uses Christmas Punch stamp set (hostess set). We used Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock. I cut my Creamy Caramel cardstock. To get the scallop oval. Then I stamped ...

Tales from the stamp room. A look at what's going on in my stamp room and life in general. Thursday, September 10, 2009. They're just like pototo chips! Shutter cards are addicting I tell ya! You can't make just one. This one is a full front Tri. Shutter, and I think I like this one a bit better. On the outside it looks like your typical card. But once you open it up. wowzers. Definitely not your typical card! And I think it's easier for the non-card maker to fold back up LOL. I used NO DSP. Last Day - S...

Monday, December 12, 2011. More Yellow Butterfly Sightings. Just wanted to share the latest "God Winks" I have had since back when I first realized Yellow Butterflies will have a new meaning to me. If you remember from this post- Yellow Butterfly. I needed a "sign" if you will. There were more of those times this past year, it was a really hard year for us, and praying 2012 will be better! Then on our cruise, when we were on our Segway and Snorkle tour. I just had to giggle! He may not answer when you wa...

{just me}: November 2007

http://agallegos77.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html

November 19, 2007. I've gotten about half of my shopping done for Christmas and Madison's birthday (Dec. 24th). I have a goal this year of having all my shopping done by the first week of December, birthday invites out by the 8th and Christmas cards out by the 15th. A tad bit ambitious, eh? We'll see how it goes, LOL! I have a few other cards and projects in the works, but it seems like the past couple of weeks scrappy time has been scarce. And, I've been tagged by Kim. I'm not a huge chocolate lover.

Friday, April 12, 2013. Where have I been? Wow, it's been over a year since I've written. I guess with Facebook, it's hard to keep up with a blog! They are kinda phasing out I think. I am going to update and refresh it soon. There is a lot going on in our lives these days, and I'm missing out on keeping a "journal" of sorts by not keeping this up to date, so soon, very soon I'm going to sit down and catch up! Glad you are back! April 15, 2013 at 9:41 PM. April 17, 2013 at 9:27 PM. View my complete profile.

https://kris-itsmylife.blogspot.com/2011/11/hello-its-been-while.html

Friday, November 18, 2011. Hello, it's been a while. I have been SO bad about blogging! I really missed it, so I hope I'm back to some regular posting! So much has happened since last year, and I probably can't remember it all! Highlights. last post Trey was going in 6th grade, now he's in 7th. Time flies! He's also 12, not too far from being a teenager, scary. Nick and I went on our first cruise, and it was our first vacation in 17 years, not including weekends camping or things like that! We celebrated...

Ramblings of an old biddy. Monday, November 14, 2011. Okay, I was busy Halloween and have been distracted since then, so now I'm getting around to my Halloween post. Alright, I admit it:I'm too busy being lazy to keep up with these posts. I should do something about that. Then there's the property that we live on and the property next to it. I have been told that a man used to live here, practiced black magic eons ago. I don't know if I believe it, but I don't linger outdoors at night. Anyway, I am still...

Ramblings of an Older American Woman

Ramblings of an Older American Woman. I love to write. Like many older women I tend to ramble when telling a story. But writing for the Baja Citizen has forced me to focus and control my wanderings. Enjoy but please do not reproduce because, who knows, some day I may compile them into a little book. Tuesday, October 2, 2012. I admit it. I lied. The fib began two years ago, immediately after I’d written and sent my first story to The Baja Citizen. 8221; She said, “It will hurt like Hell”. That afternoon I...

Ramblings of an Old Man

Ramblings of an Old Man. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Carley, Carley oh Carley! As salespeople we have all been blamed for things that we feel are in no way our fault, and indeed this may be one of those situations. However from a customers point of view you are the salesperson , so who else am I to blame? None of us likes to sell to friends or employees , as these are always the jobs which come up with the newest and most unique problems., and are always the first people to whine and complain. Then again wh...
