Ramblings of a Sailor's Lady. Sunday, July 21, 2013. Little Miss is 2 Months Old! Julia at 2 months. I can't believe it's been 2 months already! Our Little Miss is just a joy. I absolutely adore her! She's definitely still a peanut in terms of size. I did her laundry this week and swore she had to be out of newborn clothes. Nope, she's not! She's a champion nurser! In celebration of the fact that my big boy is not napping today and has decided he'll just play in his crib, I figured it was about time I blogged about him turning 2 years old. His presents from family on his birthday. He woke up to find these. His "cake" was a chocolate chip cookie pie. He loved it! On January 23rd, Matthew turned 2 years old! Thursday, September 19, 2013. One Helluva Transit - Panama De Canal. Due to the large size of our ship, it took us almost 20 hours to complete the transit. And without wink, camera in hand I enjoyed the whole ride with a gaped mouth. I was dumbfounded by all the work and engineering that went into building the whole design of the canal. Phenomenal sense of human fortitude and ingenuity! The ship approaches the lock gates at a reduced speed. Size of the ship. Water has to be pumped into the lock chambers.
