Sunday, October 6, 2013. Day 9 - Peoria, AZ. After spending 4 nights in Las Vegas at the Encore hotel, we are heading back to Texas. We had originally considered riding on to Lake Tahoe, but, we need to get home. One of the highlights of our time is Vegas was a ride out to Rick's Restorations. American Restoration is one of my top 5 TV shows that I watch, so I thought we would stop by and take the tour. The cacti remind you that you are riding in Arizona. They are everywhere. Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Day 4 - Las Vegas! It was 39 degrees in Flagstaff this morning when I went outside to take the cover off the bike. In fact, there was frost on the trailer! Frost on the trailer this morning! We left Hilton Garden Inn, Flagstaff at 9am headed for Las Vegas. The ride out of Flagstaff is beautiful with evergreen trees lining I-40 West. I-40 West out of Flagstaff, AZ. Rather than take I-40 all the way into Kingman, AZ, I decided to detour and take the long way using Route 66.

Monday, September 30, 2013. Day 2 - Santa Fe, NM. This morning was a little cooler than we are used to in Dallas. It was 49 degrees when we departed Hilton Garden Inn at 9:00am. After topping off the tank we head north on 1061 and soon connected with US 385. The rain from yesterday has been replaced with a beautiful, sunny day today, and early this morning, the wind is at our back. Soon, the sun begins to warm us up to a perfect 70 degrees. Wormy things crossing the highway. So, we netted $80 profit!
