The Life of Dave Rich. Saturday, October 30, 2010. Surf and a Trip to Vallarta. Finally I calmed down a little and talked to them. One of the guys tried to drop in on a good Mexican surfer and that’s where I became vocal. “hey dude, I wouldn’t do that if I were you. Dropping in on a Mexican local who is riding a 12ft Stand Up Paddle board (SUP) with a 6ft paddle in his hand? Friday, October 29, 2010. Went North. Now Back in Mita. The Life of Dave Rich: Cold and Wet!
http://astraltx.blogspot.com/2011/01/cold-and-wet.html
The Life of Dave Rich. Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Today was a tough day to get out of bed. The weather has been horribly cold lately, especially this morning. I woke up around 7am and took a glance at my digital thermometer which was indicating a snug 36F inside the hull. I really had to pee and it took about 5 minutes of thinking before I was able to convince myself to get out of my shell of blankets and sleeping bags. This caused my inverter to overvolt and my laptop charger stopped working for a bit...

The Life of Dave Rich: January 2011
http://astraltx.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
The Life of Dave Rich. Thursday, January 13, 2011. Lots of work done. but lots more problems. Today was a good day for me and the boat. I was able to get the 2 remaining hatch frames scraped free of old sealant and caulking so they will properly glue down to the deck when I put them back on. It was a cold morning and I awoke to find a huge puddle of ice and icicles from where the marina turned on the water on my dock to keep the lines from freezing. Elephants with pink skin. Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Great Lameshur Bay, St. John. At anchor in Great Lameshur Bay. Storyville attached to a mooring. So, fortunately for us, Great Lameshur Bay, and all of the other bays on St. John that fall within the Virgin Islands National Park, have mooring balls . So, how have we been spending our days? Cooking (and, of course, eating). Working on boat projects such as:. Installing the Mack Pack on the main sail. Working on a few sewing projects. Even though we are in a remote bay, we disc...

Friday, November 21, 2014. Storyville: October 2013
http://love2sail.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 14, 2013. We've been making good use of our time on shore and have several improvements for Storyville when we get back to her. More on that later. I just to get this blog up and rolling again and ready for some adventures in paradise! As I was going through some of my personal papers I came across this article that I wrote in 2007 for a local sailing magazine:. We have our own fleet with us wherever we go. When I'm not boating, I'm usually thinking about boating. I just can't wait to...

Storyville: February 2014
http://love2sail.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 21, 2014. I'm just now getting around to posting about the Fried Bakes that Nesta cooked for us. I know everyone will want this recipe because they are awesome! Unfortunately, I let Darnell sail away with the recipe that Nesta wrote down for us. I will make sure to amend the post with the recipe. Of course, Nesta does it all by memory and didn't need a written recipe. The bakes are fantastic! Nesta and Darnell - ready to fry some bakes! Nesta is an expert kneader - not too much kneading.

Somewhere you’ve never been. Something you’ve never seen. My name is Ryan, I’m a. 29 year old photographic artist from Melbourne, Australia. In early 2009 I embarked on a journey across North America from Texas to Alaska riding a 1100cc road touring “Hell” bike called “Mad Mavis”. With a budget half the size of a 12yr olds life savings, the trip was one shoestring-road-touring-adventure. Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Cruising with a Dog. I'm hardly an expert on this subject since we've only had Luna aboard Storyville for about 3 months, but I thought I would give my perspective on what it's like to cruise with a puppy. We've been cruising for over 2 years now (wow, time does fly when you're having fun! I strategically waited until one night after happy hour and a few rum and cokes to bring up the subject. I was pleasantly surprised when he didn't just dismiss the idea outright. We ...Deana...
