Sailing For The Soul. I removed the steering compass from the bulkhead. The dome was severely crazed and all the fluid was gone. Luckily Ritchie has a factory refurbish program where for a flat rate they will make the unit 'like new'. About half the cost of a new unit. I shipped it to them this morning. Sailing For The Soul. Its a very interesting time, and a difficult time. As any of us who have owned a boat know, it can be consuming. Make it a sailboat capable of passage making and it is all but hypnotic. I have no idea how to balance home, boat, studio. I guess in some ways I'm fortunate that the boat still needs considerable work before it is ready to sail north, else I may throw up my hands, untie the lines and escape. Proudly powered by Weebly.

Sailing For The Soul. Leaving the studio yesterday afternoon I headed home and then out to the boat. The weather was nice which always makes me think of the water, being on Ava. So there I am, overhead paint scraping while sucking on a beer. I say sucking because I only had pint bottles which 'drinking from' sounds way more graceful then it really is.
