Still Raising The Next Generation

Still Raising The Next Generation. Sunday, 11 November 2012. When my wonderful husband took me out to dinner on Friday night, my equally wonderful daughter made a lavender salt hand scrub, which dare I say is probably more appetising than the lavender cordial I made! I picked up this patch work wool bag for a pound at a car boot sale on Saturday morning. It's stuffed to bursting with wool I'm using to make a mini throw for my ' was to be a cracket. Moment some time in the coming week. I've been thinking ...

Still Raising The Next Generation: December 2011

http://stillraisingthenextgeneration.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Still Raising The Next Generation. Saturday, 31 December 2011. What have I learned? One thing I am going to internalize and take with me into the coming year is the success of last night. Despite my having done nothing in terms of shopping or food prep, last night's dinner party was still a wonderful success. The main course. Conversation flowed even faster than the wine, and before we knew it the Mixed Bean Enchiladas smothered in cheesy natural yoghurt were sizzling on the table. My only input into pre...

Still Raising The Next Generation: Spook Fest

http://stillraisingthenextgeneration.blogspot.com/2012/11/spook-fest.html

Still Raising The Next Generation. Friday, 2 November 2012. A couple of years ago we attended a Forestry Commission Halloween event which left the children traumatised and since then have reverted to our usual DIY celebrations. However, this year I just really didn't have what it takes to oragnise a party so I made very careful enquiries about local events and finally found one which I felt would fit in with our family fun ethos of Halloween. Bones pertruding from flower beds. Icky spiders hanging about.

Still Raising The Next Generation: August 2012

http://stillraisingthenextgeneration.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Still Raising The Next Generation. Monday, 27 August 2012. Beautiful book recommended by a beautiful mama. Once I became fully immersed in it I was deeply touched and connected; a sort of modern day adult fairy tale with some very poignant moments. Cheery, sunny, flowers (weeds some may say), with jerusalem artichokes shooting up the back. Must remember to split the tubers come autumn and pass some on to friends who have recently got allotments - we can all be windy together! Welly toss - can you spot it?

The little things that count. Friday, 2 September 2011. Pinterest and Mollie Makes. I have spent some of the morning rearranging my Pinterest. Boards. Mine mostly consists of crafty things that I want to make, or just dream of being able to make! Another inspiration for me Mollie Makes. So there you go, now you know about Pinterest and Mollie Makes.that is all.

The little things that count. Thursday, 1 September 2011. Or should that be lack of? I am so busy, isn't everybody? With Nathaniel starting school in September I was looking forward to getting a few more hours at work when the children would be at school. So from September the 4th I start my new hours at work. I'm going from 13 hours a week to 22 hours. I'm just doing a few extra hours, 2 mornings a week. All of these things make for a busy life so those things are my life saver. So I pretty much hav...

A Diary of a paraplegic crazy menopausal sewer, knitter, crafty person! Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Like most folks I have been watching the weather closely these last few weeks. I have been especially worried about my Pal Ros in Cockermouth. You can see her blog here. She told me she had been busy sewing but these badges are amazing. They are going to be made in metal and I am sure Ros will let us know where to get hold of one. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

The little things that count. Monday, 19 September 2011. Over 2 weeks since my last blog post- where has the time gone? I'm still loving it and am just adjusting to the new hours. It's working well so far i'm just a bit more tired sometimes but I think a lot fo that was down to not sleeping well the night before a morning shift because I was so scared I wouldn't get up! I'm relaxing a bit more now. I'm also a bit more organised about doing packed lunches etc- especially now as I have 4 to make! Anyway I ...

A WordPress.com site devoted to the health and welfare of my writing. August 9, 2011. Excerpt from MY EBENEZER STONE. Tonight I enjoyed a meeting with my friends form NW Florida Writers Group. To Be a Blessing

To Be a Blessing. Jul 5th, 2008 at 5:16 PM. I just thought of that, Creepy. Jul 4th, 2008 at 7:35 PM. DISCLAIMER: I did not write this. I got it off a website completely written and edited by Americans of African descent. I lost the credits, but when I find them I will post with the article. Anything said that could be misinterpreted did not come from me. I posted it verbatim from the website from which I got it. Which other presidents hid their African ancestry?
