Nellie had asked Susan to come help her, but she hadn’t specified what she wanted her to do. 8220;Emily left these boxes out. She was going to wrap them, but her phone isn’t working again, so she is trying to get that fixed, and doesn’t have time to wrap them. So WE are going to wrap them for her,” Nellie explained. 8220;Can we do that? Susan waited...

The Christmas Eve Play – Stitching with Elli

https://stitchingwithelli.com/2016/12/24/the-christmas-eve-play

Stories of my Dolls, and custom made clothes made on my Ellisimo. The Christmas Eve Play. The audience is ready…. Lanie came out in “priestly” garments. Susan had a giggling fit over Lanie’s “beard”. Lanie gave her a stern dignified look…. then she announced to the listeners that her name is Zachariah. As she moved across the stage, she also told them that she is a priest and is about to perform her duty offering incense in the temple. She mimed offering incense. Then SUDDENLY and ANGEL! For I am an old ...

Stories of Debbie – Stitching with Elli

https://stitchingwithelli.com/debbie-her-stories

Stories of my Dolls, and custom made clothes made on my Ellisimo. Debbie is a fun, loving, bouncy girl. Always read for adventure and enthusiastic about everything. She is a relative newcomer to the group. She joined the dolls right before the big trip to Michigan. Debbie prefers active hobbies, instead of quiet more sedimentary ones. She would rather be running outside instead of reading. She like to know things, but prefers to find out by asking rather than reading herself. Off to more Adventures.

Kit’s Playsuit- Keeper Dolly Duds 19 | sewbeading

https://sewbeading.wordpress.com/2016/12/29/kits-playsuit-keeper-dolly-duds-19

Adventures in Sewing and Beading. Kit’s Playsuit- Keeper Dolly Duds 19. The front waistband required some thought as to how the pieces went together. The other part that required some thought was inserting the elastic. In the end, I decided that the elastic was not to go to the edge of the back pant pattern piece as that folds over for a facing for the buttons. This entry was posted on December 29, 2016, in Sewing. Brocade Doily | sewbeading

https://sewbeading.wordpress.com/2016/11/04/brocade-doily

Adventures in Sewing and Beading. Here is the latest doily that I made. This one is from Coats and Clarks #197 “Priscilla Doilies”. I made Brocade #A-792. It was originally published in 1969. The pattern wasn’t really hard to follow. There were a couple of rows that reading the directions didn’t make sense. So I would start out the row and then compare what I was doing to the picture included in the book. The picture was detailed enough that you could see what the pattern was. This is it not starched.

Smile and Craft AG. A blog about me and my four dolls. December 30, 2016. I got this idea a while back, and finally have done it! I thought it’d be super cute to do a photoshoot with Julie and Clara. They are practically exact opposites. Youngest and oldest. Brunette and blonde. Light eyes and dark eyes. Freckles and no freckles. Wavy hair and straight hair. (Not to mention different face molds! Yet sisters all the same. 🙂. Well let’s get onto the photoshoot! For Julie’s super cute hairstyle! December 3...

Timber Hill Threads: January 2014

January 24, 2014. The Search- Perfect Sewing Desk. The paint bid was way too expensive though- - and so we are either going to paint ourselves, or find someone much more reasonable. The primary problem I am having now is scouting the perfect sewing desk, preferably a corner unit with long desks on each side to hold both of my large heavy machines. This unit would go under one of the corner windows and to the left and right down the walls. January 19, 2014. See the Itsy-Bitsy sewing room- - look now,.

Timber Hill Threads: January 2015

http://timberhillthreads.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

January 21, 2015. My garden awaits. Spring Daffodils 2015…. Really! Here are some photos:. I used black pre quilted cotton for these. I have some black ultra suede I'm also going to try, and some thick black felt. Now that I have the lining method figured out, it's going to be even more fun to pick out thread colors and zippers to go with the lining! These take a while to stitch out. About an hour and a half, but the embroideries are very so cute! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

August 13, 2015. It's long overdue. We are getting ready to paint the hall bathroom. Pictures say it all! I really loved this old vintage design wallpaper when I put it up years ago. Stitching With Attitude

Tuesday, 23 June 2015. In my previous post, I mentioned about colour names and the vast number of colours available to us. Fifty Shades of Grey is just a drop in the old bucket! Perhaps because I work with colour so closely on a daily basis, the massive number of colours and colour names does not phase me that much. Matching them up is another story! Just how do these companies come up with these names and we have often wondered just WHO is responsible for the task? Http:/ www.slate.com/blogs/the...So it...

Stitching With A View

I Do Love to stitch! Monday, March 5, 2012. Well once again I'm here to say hello. I've probably lost all of my followers because of my sporadic blogging, LOL. As you do know I was away three weeks in January on holidays and February has left me with the winter Blahs. So I've taken up walking and Zumba. I feel much better and spring is just around the corner. I was at Knowledge and Needles. It was fun to see Christin, Dani, Tracy and Bonnie. These are the 2 pieces I've been stitching on. Stitching with Kittens

Stitching, books, cats, and other favorite things. Friday, June 12, 2015. I wanted to post some photos of a super fun little project I completed earlier this year. Each January our EGA chapter hosts a workshop that does something requiring a needle and thread. . . but usually a little outside of traditional embroidery. This year our guest teacher was beading instructor Cathy Helmers, who taught a 3-dimensional beading class. You can see some of Cathy's work here. Back view (love the wild and crazy hair!
