Sugar Tails: One Less Orphan
http://sugartails-glowingirl.blogspot.com/2011/01/one-less-orphan.html
Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. Some of the best people I know have adopted children. They understand the privilege of being adopted into God's family, and they know the call to love and care deeply for others in great need. This family is among the best. Just click on those words in pink for more information). And support their adoption. Than to make a hab...

Sugar Tails: Pondering the Gifts
http://sugartails-glowingirl.blogspot.com/2010/12/pondering-gifts.html
Monday, December 13, 2010. Christmas is a time for reflection. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. As I reflect on the cherished ornaments and keepsakes that have been given to me. And made . . As I pull out these treasures that remain hidden in a box for much of the year,. I take the time to remember. And her grandmother before her who did the same. My children and their preschool days. While the gifts are beautiful to me, it is the people that are the true treasures.

Sugar Tails: My First Gift
http://sugartails-glowingirl.blogspot.com/2011/01/my-first-gift.html
Monday, January 10, 2011. He made me a mom. I remember the doctor's words when she called us into her office to let us know that, no, I was not experiencing the flu. What I had was going to last much longer. I remember her grin and my shock at the unexpected news and the silence in the car as my husband and I processed the idea of a change in the timing our dreams. The best change ever. He taught me the ropes of newborn care - the shocking realization of what true dependency means. The all-hours feed...

Sugar Tails: Ponder, Protect, Provide
http://sugartails-glowingirl.blogspot.com/2010/05/ponder-protect-provide.html
Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Ponder, Protect, Provide. I have been thinking for several weeks now about some words that my pastor gifted to me one Sunday. Words that have carried weight and meaning in my heart. Words that I've rolled around in my mind often since that message. Just like these words dropped into my heart. I believe in protecting my children, which is why I am struggling with the next phase in our lives . . . the one that would begin with The Thinker. I have home schooled my children for several...

Sugar Tails: When Christmas is Over
http://sugartails-glowingirl.blogspot.com/2010/12/when-christmas-is-over.html
Monday, December 20, 2010. When Christmas is Over. I spent weeks planning and shopping and five days baking, cooking, cleaning and preparing. I made cake pops with some helpful tips from Alyssa at Loving Life 365. They turned out much better than last time. I baked gingersnaps and dipped them in white chocolate. Mmmmm. I decorated sparkling sour cream sugar cookies. I stirred together a marbled chocolate bark. I whipped up chocolate covered cheesecake squares. And maple sugar candy. And then it was over.

Sugar Tails: Who Should I Serve First?
http://sugartails-glowingirl.blogspot.com/2010/03/who-should-i-serve-first.html
Thursday, March 18, 2010. Who Should I Serve First? To serve God is to serve people. To serve people is to serve purpose.". These words from Beth Moore in her. Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman. Study caused me to pause and ponder. Immediately, these faces flashed through my mind:. And I had to ask myself, "How well am I serving them? Has several different meanings. Webster’s 1828 Dictionary. 8220;We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors,. As though God were making his appeal through us.”. To finish her meal.

Sugar Tails: Someday Gone
http://sugartails-glowingirl.blogspot.com/2010/02/someday-gone.html
Saturday, February 6, 2010. As I was singing a lullaby to my baby girl last night, the moment became one of those frozen in time. A moment that takes your breath away because you realize how perfect it is, and at the same time that soon it will be gone. In that moment I remembered that my little peek-a-boo bug . . . Will someday be like her brothers: BIG. And that someday the three of them, in fast forward, will God willing, ( grow up. Go to high school go to college. Get a job be on their own. High Wall...

Sugar Tails: Longing for Home
http://sugartails-glowingirl.blogspot.com/2010/12/ive-been-feeling-bit-blue-these-days.html
Thursday, December 30, 2010. I've been feeling a bit blue these days after Christmas. I've tried distraction - focusing on other things. I've tried planning our summer vacation so I could anticipate something else that was good. I've counted my gifts with Ann. While these things helped, it didn't completely take the let-down away. And I can think of time when families all lived together. Four generations in one house. And the table was full of good food. And friends and neighbors . . . . We're waiting th...

Sugar Tails: Putting Down This Thing (My Farewell)
http://sugartails-glowingirl.blogspot.com/2011/01/putting-down-this-thing-my-farewell.html
Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Putting Down This Thing (My Farewell). Just One More Thing. Sung by Sara Groves). There's always just one more thing. There's always another task. There's always "I just have one more small favor to ask". And everything is urgent and everything is now. What would really happen if I stopped somehow. I'll be there in a minute. Just a few places to go. You wake up a few years later and. Your kids are grown. And everything is important. But everything is not. Not even one thing.

Sugar Tails: That Sounds Easy Enough
http://sugartails-glowingirl.blogspot.com/2010/04/that-sounds-easy-enough.html
Sunday, April 4, 2010. That Sounds Easy Enough. I learned this also applies to cake balls. My fun-loving, red-headed friend, Anne, introduced me to delicious balls of cake at a New Year's Eve party. They were incredibly oh-so-rich and yummy, not to mention cute as could be. I forgot to ask her how to make them, but sometime later stumbled upon these beautiful darlings by Bakerella. The Queen of Cake Pops (and I mean that with admiration). I looked at the directions. For making them and thought,. But fina...
