The Independent Writers Guild was founded by Damian Z. Hicks and Paul Welch in 2008, with the purpose of educating authors before they publish. Starting out coaching and mentoring one author at a time was the common goal, but the term and idea of “Self Publishing” was quickly gaining ground at a rate that was unimaginable!
