¡Olé España!: A Spanish Bullfight
http://theforeigntraveler.blogspot.com/2009/04/spanish-bullfight.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2009. I had the chance to see a Spanish bullfight on April 19th in Madrid, Spain.the capital of bullfighting! It was so cool to experience the culture like a "Spaniard." I learned all about bullfights at the university in Valladolid; it was so cool to experience what I learned first-hand. Granted, it was gruesome, but it was still neat. But hey, that is what a guy thinks when he sees blood. Overall, it was a great learning experience and I would honestly go again if I had the chance.

¡Olé España!: McDonald's in Spain
http://theforeigntraveler.blogspot.com/2009/05/mcdonalds-in-spain.html
Tuesday, May 12, 2009. It may sound like an extremely odd post, but McDonald's in Spain. Be talked about before I leave Spain. Last Saturday I traveled to Madrid for the day. It was a way to purchase last minute souvenirs of Spain, and just to get out and enjoy the Spanish culture. Granted, enjoying the Spanish culture wouldn't be going to McDonald's, but you are mistaken. If you ever go to Spain, I recommend going to McDonald's for one of your meals. After all, the below picture could be.

Wednesday, February 23, 2011. A much needed update. I understand that it has been quite some time (almost two years) since I have updated/completed my blog from Spain: ¡Olé España! Within the next few days, I will complete my blog of my travels abroad. Note: the time stamp of my posts will be "real-time" (i.e. Norway (May 17, 2009) ; in other words, the updated posts will occur before this post and "Returning the Changes.". Thank you for your continued patience! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

¡Olé España!: February 2009
http://theforeigntraveler.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 26, 2009. I saw the Mediterranean Sea…and waded in it! It reminded me a lot of the temperature of Lake Superior…burr. I didn’t have the courage to go swimming- -maybe next time. I never thought that I would see the Mediterranean Sea.it was amazing! If you traveled in the four directions of a compass you would be in three different countries: France to the left (almost), Italy was across the sea, and Spain was behind you and to the right. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. After 361 pictures...

¡Olé España!: March 2009
http://theforeigntraveler.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Last weekend, I went with the university on an excursion to Las Medulas, near the city Ponferrada, Spain (3 hours northwest of Valladolid). Las Medulas, in my opinion, can be compared to the Grand Canyon in the United States. Of course, not as big, and Las Medulas has lots of vegetation growing inside of it. But the rocks and heights are pretty close to the same. It was a fabulous excursion! My shoes and my friends shoes (mine are on the right). Sunday, March 22, 2009. Hard to un...

¡Olé España!: Rome, Italy
http://theforeigntraveler.blogspot.com/2009/04/rome-italy.html
Monday, April 27, 2009. We (my friends and I) were there for four days! Unfortunately, gelato and pizza was more expensive here (obviously because of all of the tourists), but we still got a gelato and pizza. Not every two hours mind you! We toured the Coliseum, the Roman Forum (like I mentioned), Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, "the Spanish steps," the Mouth of Truth and much more! Of course, without failing to mention this.I went to the Vatican City. You won't regret it. In fact, some of my friends t...

¡Olé España!: Northern Spain
http://theforeigntraveler.blogspot.com/2009/05/northern-spain.html
Thursday, May 7, 2009. Last weekend I "went up north" on another day excursion with the university. We went to Santander, Spain. It is pretty much the most northern point in Spain. The city itself is less than 1 km (about 0.62 miles) from the Cantabria Sea, or known to us as part of the Atlantic Ocean. Northern Spain is a very pretty region and I would definitely return to that area if I had more time. Looks like a beautiful part of Spain! May 10, 2009 at 1:33 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
