Biting the Bullet, Buying a Blender – The Recipe Foundation
https://therecipefoundation.wordpress.com/2015/06/19/biting-the-bullet-buying-a-blender
Read Learn. Cook. Biting the Bullet, Buying a Blender. Well, I did it. I finally bought a big-girl blender. The last blender I will ever buy (so they say). It was. Those poor blenders… RIP. So, for years since the last blender died, I have avoided buying another because I just knew the same thing would happen. Every few months I would look up blenders online and consider buying again. Then, I had a few friends who introduced me to their Vitamix (Vitamixes? The last blender I will ever buy. I want som...
FIRE! – The Recipe Foundation
https://therecipefoundation.wordpress.com/2015/07/13/fire
Read Learn. Cook. Sorry for the delay in posting but, aside from family visitors and other hullaballoo over the last week, we’ve got a fire on the marsh! This was the view from our property just last night…. But we will continue to watch and hope that it dissipates soon. I’m working on a lot of new content but all the time I spend in the kitchen lately has been pacing and not cooking! Unless… does cold-brew coffee count as cooking? Cold brew coffee with sweetened condensed milk… yes, please! July 13, 2015.
Friday Favorites: Peppermint Ice Cream – The Recipe Foundation
https://therecipefoundation.wordpress.com/2015/06/26/friday-favorites-peppermint-ice-cream
Read Learn. Cook. Friday Favorites: Peppermint Ice Cream. Image from Mercedes of Desert Candy. This is the very first ice cream I ever made and it couldn’t be any easier! This is an egg-free ice cream, so you don’t have to worry about making a custard, accidentally scrambling eggs, or anything like that. Warm everything up in a saucepan, chill it, and churn it. Case closed. Then go window shopping to walk off dinner, and finish the night with ice cream. There were several ice cream shops, but Big Olaf.

Read Learn. Cook. Inspired By: Smitten Kitchen. As I mentioned previously, I don’t come up with my own recipes very often (I’m lacking in the skill department). I do, however, stalk blogs and foodgawker.com constantly. I used to do the Pinterest thing but I have found that, for recipes, it’s a little heavy on the crockpot and 10-minute-meal type stuff. Don’t get me wrong – there is absolutely nothing. Wrong with these kind of recipes. I use them too! She makes me look good. Use the Surprise Me! Deb’...

The Recipe for Healing. Ingredients for Healthy Living. Lemon Blueberry Ice Cream. August 18, 2014. I decided to make Lemon Blueberry Ice Cream because I rarely eat fruit due to the sugar content and when I do, it’s usually citrus or berries because they are lower in sugar. It get’s very hot where I live and Lemon Blueberry is more refreshing than say…Chocolate. I hope that you enjoy this refreshing, dairy-free Ice Cream as much as I do. 1 can full fat Coconut Milk. 1 1/4 cup Blueberries. August 14, 2014.
