Four Little Princesses

Tuesday, March 3, 2015. The next day we headed back to the mountain for tubing. I had never been tubing and was not that excited about it. But boy, I am glad I did. It was fun for everyone. The kids had a great time linking up the tubes and going down together. There were lots of racing involved too. Some trash talking also! I wish we had the chance to go more often. If only we did not have school all the time and it was not so expensive. I think the kids will remember weekends like this for a long time!

Four Little Princesses: December 2012

http://www.therewerefive.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Hanukah vs. Christmas. Maura has always been intrigued by Hanukah. When she was little she used to asked people if they celebrated Hanukah or Christmas. If they said Christmas, she would shake her head and say, "I celebrate Hanukah.". So mom, you mean to tell me the Jewish miracle is that there was a lantern that stayed lit longer than they thought it would. Our miracle is that Jesus died and ROSE FROM THE DEAD? Thursday, December 6, 2012. Yes, we...

Monday, December 30, 2013. LLast year when Mags got sick she stopped gymnastics. Really, she couldn't even walk, let alone do gymnastics! I can honestly say I loved every minute. Well, except those minutes when I thought my head might explode, literally, after a trip to NYC to American Girl Cafe. so fun! For Kerri's birthday. The trip up was interesting when we got on Amtrak with NJ transit tickets! I had to give him a few pieces of my mind. And how lucky are these girls to have all their grandparents!

Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Summer, School, Birthdays, oh my. Yes, lots has gone on since March. School ended (everyone passed, thank goodness). Bridget turned 7! I can't even stand it. Summer was full of good things. I did not work this summer, so we had lots of time for things like hikes, the pool, play dates with friends. Girls went to camps off an on. It really was an ideal, relaxed summer at home. We went camping with Lisa and Laura and their kids, so fun! I turned 39. Sean surprised me with the...

Operation: Fit in my Pants: ready to run

http://slackermamadiets.blogspot.com/2010/02/ready-to-run.html

Monday, February 22, 2010. So, as I mentioned on my other blog. I just signed up for the Broad Street Run, a 10-mile race! I'll be running the race with a good friend of mine. Which I'm really excited about. The whole running part of it? You see, try as I might, I'm not a big fan of running. When I was younger, it was an ends to a means.I *had* to do it as part of soccer practice. When I got older, I preferred the gym to running. I did run the Cherry Blossom 10-miler almost 10(! So, why run it now? Today...

Two Ring Circus: June 2012

Thursday, June 14, 2012. She's four and she's a talker. Oh my, the things that Josie thinks of.this was all yesterday. When coloring she frequently states, "Whew! This is hard work. I need to give my hand a rest.". We need to put her hair into braids when Daddy comes home from his business trip because "I look really cute with braids.". Wednesday, June 13, 2012. What we've been up to. This is what we've been up to for the last month or so. Checking out the tide pools on Averøya. Apparently the concept of...

Two Ring Circus: The rest of Christmas....

http://2ringcircus.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-rest-of-christmas.html

Thursday, January 3, 2013. The rest of Christmas. I fell off the blogging wagon.I did. We really did have a great rest of Advent though. On the 19th day of Advent Marshall and I flew to Massachusetts to join Will and Josie. And I have to brag. My children are amazing travelers. Whenever we talk about our trips, inevitably people ask, "How are the flights with the kids? Marshall always likes to read the safety guide thoroughly. Happy and excited travelers! We did lots of fun stuff like:. Go to Sean's Supe...

Monday, August 20, 2012. Guess what we've been up to? School is back in session! And of course, as predicted, I am missing all the time with these two munchkins.not enough to do anything silly like start homeschooling them or something like that. (Maybe if we were in the US with homeschool associations and other activities, but not here.I don't miss them that much not to remember the 24/7 fun we just had for five months). Life is looking up. (Especially because tomorrow is my day off.). 4th of July 2015.

confessions of a slacker mama: bullet points

http://confessionsofaslackermama.blogspot.com/2012/03/bullet-points.html

Wednesday, March 28, 2012. The nanny did leave us for a new job. We tried to find a new nanny, but being in the far reaches of the suburbs is not a hotbed for nannies. So, we're sending the girls back to the hoity-toity daycare that E and A used to attend! So far, the new situation is going well. The girls have asked me to pick them up later because they have fun and they haven't complained about getting up and out the door earlier than usual. John and I are going on an 10th anniversary trip at the end o...

No this isn't an advent picture, but this was the beautiful sunrise that morning. This picture was taken about 10 am.). Day 5 of Advent:. Watch some Christmas movies. confessions of a slacker mama: january in photos

http://confessionsofaslackermama.blogspot.com/2012/02/january-in-photos.html

Wednesday, February 1, 2012. At the beginning of the year, I jumped on the photo-a-day bandwagon, and decided to try to take an Instagram photo a day. It didn't last for long, because let's face it.my life is pretty repetitive/boring AND I get pretty busy and forget to take pictures. But, I did find a Photo a Day Challenge. That gives you a theme for each day, so I'm going to try that for February. Anyway, here's what I have for January. I actually took a lot more pictures, but I just didn't convert.

confessions of a slacker mama: current obsessions

http://confessionsofaslackermama.blogspot.com/2012/03/current-obsessions.html

Thursday, March 29, 2012. These are the things (other than my family.and wine) that are currently making me happy! YepI've become a Pinterest junkie. My pins relate mainly to recipes (I apparently have an obsession with chocolate chip cookie/sea salt recipes) and organizational tips. We also made the girls Valentine's. Based off ones I found on Pinterest. E and A also like to look at Pinterest for all the amazing kid's rooms (Tree Houses! And dresses and such. Why can't I have a slide in my room, Mama?

For Valentine's Day, we just headed to a local hamburger place for dinner. But not before giving the girls the BEST! Seriously, yo.all three girls LOVED the balloons! We might have it figured out! Killerton Chapel, photograph HD, 2014. 17 June - 30 August 2014. This post, by Ken Cockburn (text), and Luke Allan and Hannah Devereux (photography), with a prelude by Alec Finlay, is a reflection on the series of silent walks: there were our own / there were the others. Silent walk, Killerton, photograph LA, 2014. As a prelude to the first cycle of walks I reread Simone Weil’s essay, written in Vichy France in 1940, ‘The Iliad or the Poem of Force’.
