http://www.marycalarco.com/2013/04/day-2-kandinsky.html
Wednesday, April 24, 2013. When the talented folks at Guelph School of Art presented their class outline to us, they ensured art history was one of the key learning components. Each class would first learn about one of the masters, and their techniques would then be applied as the students created their very own masterpiece. Here you can see a photo of my little guy, Ben, working away on his painting while Kaili Elmhurst illustrates Kandinsky's technique to the students at Victory Public School.

Monday, January 10, 2011. Almost eight years ago, my lovie and I moved to Guelph because of its thriving arts community. Plays an important role in our city's success, and as a board member, I'd like to ask your support by purchasing a ticket to our annual fundraiser. Tickets are $15 each or two for $25.

This Was My Life
This Was My Life. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Time to Wake up GiGi. It's time to wake up! I opened my myoptic eyes and saw Cole standing by my bed. He was holding something up which I couldn't quite see, something he was holding onto with a pair of toenail clippers. I thought it was a small stuffed animal. I closed my eyes again. I want breakfast and cartoons! She's out back talking on the phone to work. I want breakfast and cartoons on TV.". Cole What is that? It's dead. I want it inside.". He found it and ...

THIS WAS NOT A MIXTAPE
Domingo, 19 de julio de 2009. Veverka vuelve a casa. Veverka vuelve a casa.

June 7, 2015. June 7, 2015. I saw this Tumblr post yesterday, about depression. It’s excellent. It’s been picked up everywhere because it makes perfect sense, at least it does to me. It may make no sense to people who don’t suffer from depression. But the whole point is that being depressed is illogical. On bad days, I force myself out of the house (on the very bad ones I don’t wash first) and I’m amazed my legs still work. I’d do all of those things go if I could just pull myself together. It’s be...

Lastnight, I was summoned to use what I can only describe as my specialized parental skillset. This wasn't in the manual. I'm Joanne: freelance writer, social media thingy, and mommy of Aisha, a beautiful little girl with Down Syndrome. I’ve never been this excited about a bottle, nor its contents. The little spout at the top flips up and down and has a straw attached. The function is pretty much straightforward; flip up top, put spout to mouth and sip. Voila! What, me worry? Sometimes a girl could tear her hair out. Parent-friends (and sometimes, strangers), often say to parents to be or even the...

This wasn't the plan
Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Still here, still freaking out. Just a quick update. I'm 16 weeks, everything is looking great. All measurements, ultrasounds and heartbeat checks have been perfect. We told our families the news on Christmas Eve and put everyone in a tail spin. No one was expecting this news, it was a lot of fun to watch the reactions, especially considering that we thought that the idea of a surprise pregnancy announcement was never going to happen.
