This wasn't the plan

Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Still here, still freaking out. Just a quick update. I'm 16 weeks, everything is looking great. All measurements, ultrasounds and heartbeat checks have been perfect. We told our families the news on Christmas Eve and put everyone in a tail spin. No one was expecting this news, it was a lot of fun to watch the reactions, especially considering that we thought that the idea of a surprise pregnancy announcement was never going to happen. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. I feel pretty...

This wasn't the plan: June 2009

http://thiswasnttheplan.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, June 27, 2009. Thanks to all who have continued to comment.although I have been such a bad blogger and commenter! Betas have been going well. Not doubling always, but certainly making the appropriate 66% jump in 48 hours. Here are the betas to date:. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Beta #2 was 36. Still low for my taste, but it did double. Next one is tomorrow. Not much time to post now, had a quick get away for 24 hours, which was awesome for keeping my brain out of beta worry mode. Just a quick not...

Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Since the last draw. I am now out from work until at least Monday, no folic acid or alcohol for me, and I cannot travel very far away from the hospital "just in case". Oh, and I asked for an antidepressant today. Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Wednesday, February 11, 2009. I feel very sad for you. Your heart is breaking. Words won't comfort. I am so very sorry. all my best to you. k. Monday, February 9, 2009. I'm anticipating needing to miss a day's work or so. In the mean time...

http://thiswasnttheplan.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 18, 2008. Just the other day I overheard a fellow nurse make a comment about a patient who had gotten pregnant with an IUD in place. Her comment was "now that is a baby that was meant to be". Does she mean that if it takes any effort to get pregnant it wasn't meant to be? I know you all have heard the same comments from unsuspecting friends or acquaintances. I don't know why it bothers me, it's none of their business, right? Saturday, August 9, 2008. This wasn't the plan: Better

http://thiswasnttheplan.blogspot.com/2009/07/better.html

Friday, July 17, 2009. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You all give me strength! I feel pretty run down, but physically mostly okay. I'm planning on taking an ambien tonight as I slept most of today and don't want to be up all night. As long as I continue to feel alright, I'll probably be using some of my time off from work to visit my parents on Cape Cod.as well as drink a fair amount of wine. Good for hubs for speaking up! Sending you hugs and healing. July 18, 2009 at 9:58 AM. July 18, 2009 at 1:48 PM.

Hez in IVFland and beyond. Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop." -. Wednesday, August 15, 2007. T - 158 minutes. So, I'm hungry, nervous, tightly wound, tense. And maybe a tinge hopeful, scared and sleepy. I was up late last night trying to get some work done for an early Thursday meeting, and then even when some of that was done, couldn't relax enough to fall asleep. One of these days I'm going to need to take a course in relaxation. For reference: IVF #1's Retrieval.

With a 1-2pm window, I was starting to get a bit stressed. Do they make the fun calls first? Or get the negatives out of the way first and then call the positives? I was in a bit of agony by 1:45. A few days shy of a year ago we were on the cusp of retrieval and transfer, trying not to hope. Once we did know that the attempt had been intially successful. There were a whole new set of worries and hope and fears. We continued to hope- that our child would be healthy, that he or she would be born safely, that PT would be happy with a brother or a sister. M/c with D&C (9w 3d).
