Sunday, October 30, 2011. Fruit Leather Fun: How to make your own. Homemade fruit leather is easy to make. Puree fruit and dry it! I love being able to use our over ripened fruit for this so that we don't have to throw it away. The texture, nutritional value, and ease of the homemade leathers makes it well worth the time. Select your fruit and wash it thoroughly. Peel, if you want. I like to keep the skins on for fiber and nutritional value. Chop into pieces. Pour the puree THINLY. Tuesday, March 15, 2011.

How To: Barnwood & Glitter: Make Your Own Custom Dry Erase Board

http://www.thr-howto.blogspot.com/2011/03/barnwood-glitter-make-your-own-custom.html

Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Barnwood and Glitter: Make Your Own Custom Dry Erase Board. I looked too long for a dry erase board that was big enough to fit a particular space when it finally dawned on me to make my own! I already had a large barnwood frame in the garage that I'd been wanting to use for something, and it was perfect for the space! I started by ordering. 800 a roll was just right. I then bought a foam board at Hobby Lobby that was big enough to fit the frame. The fun part. decorating it!

Some of my favorite combinations are: pesto, pine nuts, and parmesan (sometimes I add sun-dried tomatoes); apples, gruyere, and toasted walnuts; brie, apples, and toasted pecans. Or to make it more savory, add sausage to the brie instead of apples and add another cheese like parmesan. I often make two different fillings and make an extra pan to freeze. I have the one from.

But only ONE of the pair? Surely someone besides me can't get over how many sock orphans come through the wash. A couple of years ago we started this system to address the problem. It doesn't take care of it completely, but it has helped a TON! Each room has a bag like this filled with. Posted by The Homemade Renegade. When our la...

So far, we've established that, in most cases, in order for New Year's Resolutions to be successful, there needs to be two things present: clear goals and accountability. So, how do we think through our goals for the New Year? The first thing I do is come up with a phrase or word for the year. Even did a necklace with this year's motto. Here is a worksheet to get you going. Dream big, have fun, and make 2012 one of the best yet! Everyone ...

I am remembering what I loved about it, and what I didn't. That is the beauty of any place, though, as both make it what it is. There is much to love. Just how much family is integrated into every daily task, activity, and aspect of life. Family is not just a part of their lives, it is their lives (more on this to come). Friday, December 30, 2011. New Year's Goals: Who's Watching You? Everyone loves a fresh start; a new, crisp blank page on which we can write our future. Beginning a new year gives us that chance. Celebrating what was behind, or closing the door, we look hope-full toward what lies ahead. Sometimes, though, we don't know where to start and how to actually accomplish those things we've set out to do. There needs to be another PERSON on the other end of the agreement. They come unexpected, and often in the ordinary moments of the day. Tears usually run down my face, but I try to hold them back, for fear that they will get in the way of the gift. Tonight was one of those moments. How much do I want this kind of pure relationship with each of the children God has allowed? Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever&#8212...

http://thehomemaderenegade.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas-morning-creme-brulee-french.html

Saturday, December 10, 2011. Christmas Morning Creme Brûlée French Toast. There was a time I was getting up at the crack of dawn (after being up late stuffing stockings and such) to fix monkey bread and other fun holiday morning deliciousness - what in the world was I thinking? Running myself ragged is NOT my idea of a meaningful Christmas day. Enter. make ahead breakfast dishes! It revolutionized the morning for me. You can even freeze it and de-thaw if you really want to avoid the last minute rush.
