Sunday, March 11, 2007. One of the sources of any wisdom I've collected over the years is what I've written down as "observations." They have been on envelope backs, cocktail napkins and loose sheets of paper (somehow the editor in me has always had issues with writing in bound books). Finally, I started entering them into electronic files - all the better to organize says my left brain! Try tomorrowswisdom.blogspot.com. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Today's Words, Tomorrow's Wisdom.

Sunday, November 23, 2008. Holiday Tradition for the New Times. On my mother’s side of the family, it was not the visual aspect of the presents that we anticipated. Rather, it was the poetry written on the gift cards of the presents that added to our delight. Sometimes in metered rhyme, other times more an ode to e.e. cummings but always a treat to receive. Tacky Lady: Thoughts on the Upcoming Year - 2008
http://tackylady.blogspot.com/2008/01/thoughts-on-upcoming-year-2008.html
Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Thoughts on the Upcoming Year - 2008. First thought … numerologically, the new year is a “prime year! 8221; That is 2 0 0 8=10=1 0=1. 8230; needed”). To their surprise (and my own, truth be told), I stated that would not work because I needed to be out of the house in six weeks. Who knows where I came up with that time table but, in the end, it was an accurate accounting. What a combination - awareness, belief and a prime year! Stay tuned … exciting things to follow!

Okay - So, the topic that I planned to cover in this blog was the progress that I had made researching the various types of retirement tools that are available when you want to start figuring out where you stand and what the next steps are that you should take toward eating something other than cat-food. Cuisine a la tin-can. It was sobering to go through their steps even with guesses about how much I would need on a monthly b...

Tacky Lady: Messages from the Boomer Frontline
http://tackylady.blogspot.com/2007/08/messages-from-boomer-frontline.html
Sunday, August 26, 2007. Messages from the Boomer Frontline. When I was much younger, for a short time I believed I had marvelous taste! Everything I liked seemed to become wildly popular shortly after I had decided it was a favorite. However, it didn't take much time after I started working in "marketing research" that I realized it had little to do with my taste and everything to do with the huge wave of people just behind me demographically speaking. Being born in the first year of the " BabyBoom.
