I was stuck there for about an hour and then when I was going home- there were trees that had been split in half big pieces of metal all over from bldg's and roofs. What usually is about a 10 min drive- took me 45 min to get home. I drove by a big rig truck on the freeway that had been flipped over. It was crazy! I wish I had a picture! All that know me know that I am truly a desert rat. I love the heat, sun, sand and surf. But.after a bit of convincing we headed up the mountain to give some winter sports a try and I have to say I'm hooked! Have nice accommodations is where is starts. Best vacation ever. We had such a relaxing time, no schedule was awesome. Maui is my favorite island and we can't wait to go back. Our view from our room. Sitting by the pool while the kids swim. Friday, April 25, 2014. Birth2 Story Part 3-SUPER LONG POST. FINALLY, the exciting part! So, like I said before, I was having contraction since 5:30am on March 27th. They were pretty consistent and were definitely true labor pains this time. I decided to go to the birth center around lunch time. I had called everyone who had planned on attending the birth. We loaded all our stuff into the birth center and thought we were ready for a baby to come today! I was only at 2.5 cm! It was going to be a long day.
