Gandy Land: Taking care of myself
http://seanndamygandy.blogspot.com/2013/11/taking-care-of-myself.html
We must be the change we want to see. Mahatma Gandhi. Sunday, November 17, 2013. Taking care of myself. Going to try to get back on this blog train. I never really was on it to begin with but was closer on than to off. I met my counselor and I was so nervous, but that's how I usually am when I am meeting new people. Plus the attention is only on me, not on me for my kids, but for me. The counselor told me to try to do at least one of these a week for myself so here I am kinda writing this confessional, a...

Gandy Land: November 2013
http://seanndamygandy.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
We must be the change we want to see. Mahatma Gandhi. Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Not going to let this bring me down. We have searched for a long time for a rental that fits our budget and our needs. Our MAIN need and only problem area is our 70lb dog. Finding a rental that allows a dog over 25 lbs is next to impossible. We finally found 1 that met our expectations as far as neighborhood, the dog allowance, and our budget. We viewed the property and gave our application Saturday. However, I prayed. ...

Gandy Land: Graysens Birth
http://seanndamygandy.blogspot.com/2015/06/graysens-birth.html
We must be the change we want to see. Mahatma Gandhi. Monday, June 15, 2015. It has been 11 short weeks since Graysen's arrival. We all have settled in as a family of five, and things are going smooth. That wasn't the case there for a while. Here is his story. It started on March 16, when my in-laws called to let us know, that my sister in law had passed away in her sleep. She had suffered from seizures for many many years, and that is what eventually took her life. When we were finally taking back to tr...

Gandy Land: January 2013
http://seanndamygandy.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
We must be the change we want to see. Mahatma Gandhi. Sunday, January 6, 2013. Growing up is hard. Growing up is hard, especially for my brother Jake. Who on the 23rd of December turned 24. Jake has hardly nothing to show for himself in his 24 years of life. It seems like he is on a step ladder constantly climbing up, but getting nowhere. Here is where the reason for this post comes in. Having to go any higher. See the picture above? The worst part about being a climber on this tower is that it is a free...

Randy & Liz: February 2011

Monday, February 21, 2011. What a military spouse knows. A friend posted this on Facebook so I thought I'd share it here. I honestly laughed and teared up a little, because some of the statements are so true! I've added a few comments of my own in orange :). As many of you know, my husband came home from our third deployment not too long ago. During the deployment, a reporter asked me to share “What I Knew” about deployments and military life. This was my answer:. She was right. I do know how to do t...

Monday, March 19, 2012. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Posted by Randy and Liz. Monday, March 12, 2012. Here is Brooklyn's birth story. It's been saved as a draft for months so I figure I might as well just hit "publish post" and move on. After all, her first birthday is just around the corner! I wanted to remember and record every moment for Randy. Thanks to two amazing friends, we did just that! Stay tuned, I promise not to take 9.5 months this time! Saturday, May 21st, 2011. At the potluck, I felt bad becau...

Sunday, May 22, 2011. Listen closely at the very end of the video! Noah sitting in the ER. Poor boy was so sad :(. We've been paci free since Daddy left, but unfortunately this is the only thermometer that we own. Needless to say, he didn't mind take his temp every few hours :). Sister at 35 weeks! I've considered getting Noah his own little chair, but apparently I was taking too long in finding the right one. Noah and his new pillow! Sister's new taggie blanket! I have my 36 week appointment tomorrow!

Hansen: September 2011
http://aliciaandtony.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 29, 2011. Im Stronger Than Yesterday. Deployment is almost over! Today marks exactly 5 months, we are getting there! Now I want to tell you how I have survived this thing. I guess I like to stay busy. It looks like being in shape and physically fit will be something we can do together instead of being thousands of miles apart. After describing all those things up above it would be amazing if I ever had free time or did something fun but somehow I manage to squeeze it in! This year we ...

Hansen: Are You An Artist?
http://aliciaandtony.blogspot.com/2012/08/are-you-artist.html
Monday, August 20, 2012. Are You An Artist? I was working out on the beach downtown with my trainer when we saw these in the sand. We took a moment to stop and admire the artwork. Its beautiful! I can barely draw on paper so someone that can create this must be a genius! The detail is amazing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Are You An Artist?
