Living with Type 1 Diabetes. Monthly Archives: May 2015. 8220;I can” flatten a juice carton in a few seconds flat …. May 11, 2015. My bedtime BG was 16.6mmol, which isn’t unusual on a Sunday. I usually get it back in range before bed but it just hadn’t happened this time. I had a correction dose and decided to set the alarm for 3am to make sure the insulin had done its job and to double check that I wasn’t going too low. Two hours later…. Argh, how, what? For me, I realized very early on that I needed to get ‘diabetes organized’. I’ve changed a few things along the way, but some of the things I learned to do early on have been invaluable to me and keeping my mind focused. Lithium AA and AAA batteries.
