Taking cues from Kraftwerk, Cocteau Twins and Tangerine Dream, they make music over the internet out of all kinds of sounds; guitars, electronics, organs, field recordings, but mostly guitars and electronics. Typical Stereo is mostly Josh Owen Morris. A Mancunian transplant to Cardiff, I studied Physics and then stayed afterwards. I did student radio throughout, played in a band called New Art Riot, doing the odd gig, recording other people and such.I’ve been running monthly gigs at Gwdihw for a while now - the first time we did so, we had to bring our own PA! A long time ago).

Well, the This Many Boyfriends/Just Handshakes/Totem Terrors/Tour de Josh gig is only a week away, and we’re also excited about Haiku Salut visiting in July! Haiku Salut are a Derbyshire-based instrumental trio that use accordions, ukeleles, glockenspiels, pianos, loopery and laptopery to create a soundscape that has been likened to early múm, Detektivbyrån and the soundtrack to cult film Amélie. They’ll also be joined by Jemma Roper ( LISTEN HERE.

Riding up a huge hill to find it’s a plateau. I like riding up hills, so this is, I guess an odd metaphor. Our first release came out today, and while yes, we’ve ridden up a huge hill in getting this release ready, with the recording and the manufacture completed without too much of a delay. There have been a few hiccups along the way, but the people who have heard it have said nice things about it, and we’re quite pleased about how it turned out really!
