Game Drives

The park has a very good road network, however 4 X 4 is recommended during the rainy season. (November to April). Many species of animals can be seen during game drives. There are also picnic sites along certain routes. Please do not deviate from these designated sites and routes. Vehicle hire for game drives is also available on request. These will be attended by a Park Ranger and Driver for your safety. Game drive packages range from 2 hours to full day, and can be combined with a drive and hike package.

Umfurudzi Park is safe to walk anywhere outside of the protected and fenced buffalo breeding area. There are many marked trails and roads within the Park to walk. With special arrangements, multi day walking and wilderness camping in the park is available to the seasoned hiker. Climbing Mt Chisinga, Svisamoyo and other mountains or granite kopje's and Dwalas in the park is also a well recommended days' outing. Mountain biking on the over 600km of roads is also available, enquire on routes and difficulty.
