Update: All accommodation is fully booked except some camping available at Hippo Pools. List of Entrants by Surname. Leave Harare on the Enterprise Road towards Shamva. Proceed through the Toll Gate near Umwinsidale and turn left immediately afterwards onto the Shamva Road. Follow signs to Shamva. Proceed 70km to Shamva Town and continue on the tar road . There is often a roadblock/speed trap coming into Shamva and an 80km/h speed limit from a few km out. Wearing of seat-belts in the back is occasionally enforced. The dirt road is suitable for 2wd vehicles and is only 6.5km(gate to camp).

List of Entrants by Surname. Umfurudzi Ultra - 50km - $40. 75 km - $20. Please note prior experience is required for the Ultra Marathon, please list previous races/events below. Prior experience is highly recommended for the 25km, a road marathon is more equivalent to the 25km run than a road half marathon. Trail running is significantly more demanding with loose surfaces underfoot and constant gradient changes. Please prepare adequately for the distance that you enter and hydrate sufficiently.

Welcome to Umfurudzi Park. The Park covers an area of 76000 ha (760 square km) of incredible natural beauty and bio diversity. The Park was formed in 1981, and is the first Park to be formed under the newly formed free Zimbabwe. The Park was officially opened by His Excellency President RG Mugabe in 1981.
