On December 5, 2013. I have most parts ready to go for paint so i decided to start.All parts on the bike got painted, to correspond with my theme I went with the colours red and black. All parts were sanded got 2 coats of primer before paint. Rear Wheel painted black, left original chrome lip. Frame and front suspension coated in primer. Frames final coat of paint. On December 5, 2013. When going making the seat i had to ask myself what kind of seat i wanted, from looking at choppers i decided to go with a seat like this. Similiar to tank i first started out with a square of tan cast and trenched the centre using a chisel. After alot of shaping cutting and filing I ended up with this. Once I had this done, i sprayed it with paint to prevent it from moisture. I was delighted how it turned out, took a bit of work but worth it. Test fitted to bike.

On December 5, 2013. I did alot of research on exhaust pipes on motorbikes, however I didnt have to go to far to see one i liked. The exhaust on the bike outside schrodinger building appealed to me most. I decided i wanted a exhaust like this so i sourced some stainless steel in workshop, and took a few parts off the minimoto exhaust I had at home. I sourced the parts off the minimoto I had to attach to exhaust. I welded the 45 degree bends and joined it to exhaust pipe using arc welder. Fill in your det...

On December 5, 2013. From the start of this project I wanted to have a light on the front of bike, again i did more research from bikes and found one I liked. However I did alot of searching before I got one, A friend of mine got it in a recycling centre, was just the right size for my bike, delighted. A topnotch WordPress.com site. December 5, 2013. For my front suspension i plan on using a shock from a 1/5th scale RC Car. Once i had these components i was able to start building the suspension. I welded the joints to tubes for the suspension. When welding this i was sure to tack the tube in 4 spots before welding so as the weld wouldn’t distort the joint. Using the standard suspension bushes i fitted the suspension to the frame. For this i cut plates from 6mm Plate. This entry was tagged Pivot point.

A topnotch WordPress.com site. December 6, 2013. Once satisfied with all the filling and sanding i wiped down all the parts for painting with Spies Hecker 7010 Silicone Remover. This is a type of panel wipe degreaser which i find works very well. It is very important to remove any grease, oils or dust from the piece before painting. This entry was tagged Education.
