Tuesday, September 23, 2008. This morning we went for the first time to feed the turtles at Cal Tech. There are so many of them! They are used to being fed and come right up onto the pavement. Sunday, June 15, 2008. First Trip to Disneyland. While Nana B visited us this spring, we ventured to Disneyland with the kids for the first time. It was a great day- not too hot, not too long. Monday, August 10, 2009. It's official - Katie is four! It's official because we went to the doctor's today for her 4-year-old check up. Note the happy patient to the left. Stats for those of you who are playing along at home:. Katie weighs a whopping 36 3/4 pounds. That's in the 60% and up 5 3/4 pounds from last year's appointment. She is 42 3/8 inches tall. Wednesday, August 18, 2010. It's been a looooong while since I've posted on this here website. I have lots to blog about, but apparently little time/energy. Yesterday Katie visited her pedi for her 5-year check up. Apparently she passed! Here are her stats. She grew 2-3/4" and is now 45-1/8" tall, which keeps her firmly in the 90%. She gained 5-1/4 lbs and now weighs 42 lbs (75%). Passed her hearing test with flying colors. We celebrated with cupcakes from Dots. She also got a haircut and a new headband.

Friday, July 10, 2009. The Iannones Visit Pasadena. Our dear friends, the Iannones, have recently made a huge move back to the East Coast. Before they headed to their new home state of New Jersey, they popped down to LA to visit us for a week. Highlights of their visit include a small town 4th of July parade, a trip to the LA Zoo and a few days up at Big Bear Lake. It was lots of fun to see them and to let the kids play with each other - all five of them! Here are some pictures from their visit!
