Jason Benedict: September 2006

http://aaumjason.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html

U-M Recent Grad Blog. Friday, September 22, 2006. Sorry I haven't been able to post in awhile - between law school and college football I have basically no time. Anyways, as much as I wish this was a sports blog, it's not, so back to school. School is kicking into gear right now, and the pace and difficulty have picked up a bit since the first two weeks. One of the important topics I want to point out that is essential to success in law school is OUTLINING. Posted by Jason @ 9:57 AM 0 comments. I thought...

Jason Benedict: Very Hectic Schedule

http://aaumjason.blogspot.com/2006/12/very-hectic-schedule.html

U-M Recent Grad Blog. Monday, December 04, 2006. The last few weeks of a semester in law school are the most hectic weeks I have ever experienced. There is the scramble to make sure your outlines are up to date and complete so you have something of worth to study from. Unfortunately, I have (for the first time) two exams in one day. And if that isn't bad enough, I actually have two days with two exams each. Talk about not getting a break. Posted by Jason @ 10:17 AM. Comments: Post a Comment.

U-M Recent Grad Blog. Sunday, August 27, 2006. One down . but a lot more to go. Hello everyone. My name is Jason Benedict and I'm currently entering my second year of law school at Michigan State. I know what you all are thinking - "MSU? But trust me, if I could have gone to UM law school I would have. In either case, I still bleed maize and blue, and I hold it down for the Wolverines in East Lansing. Posted by Jason @ 10:35 AM 0 comments. Let's see if I can get this to work . Jason Benedict: Engineering Internships

http://aaumjason.blogspot.com/2006/10/engineering-internships.html

U-M Recent Grad Blog. Saturday, October 14, 2006. While you may think I left engineering behind when I started law school, the truth is I actually use my engineering skills more than my legal skills when doing patent work. Therefore, seeing as how important it is, I thought it would be appropriate to touch on some of my experiences in engineering. Posted by Jason @ 5:33 AM. Comments: Post a Comment. Jason Benedict: A Day in the Life of a Summer Associate

http://aaumjason.blogspot.com/2006/10/day-in-life-of-summer-associate.html

U-M Recent Grad Blog. Monday, October 30, 2006. A Day in the Life of a Summer Associate. I thought I'd document an average day of work when I was a summer associate. Up until lunch - I'd usually pick back up where I'd left of the day before, which was usually working on a patent application. Since some of these were incredibly detailed, it would often take me about a half hour to get back up to speed as to what I was working with. Posted by Jason @ 8:50 AM. I'm looking for a student in this area of inter...

Purvi Ravani: What to do with life?

http://aaumpurvi.blogspot.com/2006/11/what-to-do-with-life.html

U-M Recent Grad Blog. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. What to do with life? One of the great things about going to a business school as prestigious as Michigan (Harvard, Wharton, etc.) is that you really are being molded for success, leadership, and pretty much anything you want to do, anywhere you want to go. It's incredible how much recruiting, classes, and other activities show this. However, this presents the tough (albiet great) issue of there is TOO MANY OPTIONS! In my next post (this upcoming weekend)...

Here are some do's and don'ts that I have observed. Please note these are just my observations! But I'm a pretty intuitive person). Be on time to events! Have breathmints on hand! Turn your cell phone off.haven't you learned this by now. Think you're ever NOT being evaluated! Get drunk at corporate events. enough sai...

U-M Recent Grad Blog. Monday, August 28, 2006. A brief about me. Hello, fellow Wolverines! I wanted to use this first post to tell you a little bit about myself and what I hope you will get out of this blog. Apologies for the length; I am long-winded. I hail from Rochester, MI and am the oldest of 3. My parents are from India, but I was born in Flint. I like reading, hiking/camping, traveling, music.generally, adventures of the mind body and soul. After school, I took a job irrelevant to all of the above!

http://aaumpurvi.blogspot.com/2006/10/resumes.html

U-M Recent Grad Blog. Sunday, October 08, 2006. DO keep it to one page. A friend of mine is a former HR specialist. She sometimes saw thousands of resumes in a week. They are NOT reading every word. Trust me. Now, that doesn't mean every word shouldn't be carefully thought out, but it does mean each word, especially the first 3-5 words of each bullet point, should be IMPACTFUL. Make the reader want. To read the rest of the bullet point. Do NOT put your undergradate GPA unless it is above a 3.0. Note: the...

U-M Recent Grad Blog. Monday, June 19, 2006. For the last month or so, one single project has consumed my work days, Bridges Magazine. Bridges is the annual alumni magazine for the University of Michigan Flint. It is 64 pages long and contains dozens of stories about our alumni and the campus. Our office has been working on it since January, but May and June have been the knock down, drag-out months. SoI took a walk around campus, came back to my office and updated my old project list.
