It was mostly an excuse to go to Utah, because I'd never been and I get unreasonably excited about going new places, and because I love mountains. Isn't pole dancing for strippers? Not at all. Pole dancing is a sport apart from what happens in gentlemen's clubs. Most pole athletes are not strippers. Pippi teaches a form of the art that is acrobatic-based, not erotic-based. But I have no upper body strength! You can begin pole with a weak upper body. You will need to get stronger to advance to intermediate levels, but I'll help you with that. :). Here's a video of a 60-year-old grandmother. Doing some pretty impressive moves. No excuses!
