Mud Mud Glorious Mud. Saturday, 21 June 2014. Engine Vein, Alderley Edge. At last got to tick this off the wish list - although I would still like to go back. Paul keeps dispatching Paz to entertain me and the kid, I love having a personal geologist and I think I've learnt as much today as in any of my geology lessons all those years ago. Mud Mud Glorious Mud. Thursday, 4 September 2014. Mouldridge - holes in the fields. An Alt night that I can make since work hasn't started properly yet. Arrive at the rendezvouspoint to see CTD and A R disappearing across the fields and CaveArt just getting changed. As Lampwick and I get changed RV turns up too so we are fully quorate even without the Winster Cavers who are abroad again. The beer magnet turns on and we leave our playground to march back to the cars, followed by refreshment at the Miners.

Mud Mud Glorious Mud. Wednesday, 21 January 2015. A good turnout on a snowy night and with staff meeting overrunning by 20 mins. Grab a welcome sandwich offered by the Armchair Caver as I pick up Lampwick and we arrive not too late (in fact, not even the latest! Lots of lovely gour pools and a couple of nests of cave pearls are carefully crossed, but the passage doesn't go much further before ending in another forefield. On the way back Lampwick pauses for the obligatory photos. Index to Derbyshire trips.

Mud Mud Glorious Mud. Wednesday, 24 December 2014. Miner's candle at Groaning Tor. Despite not knowing any of the 'traditional' carols we are meant to sing, we take up A R's suggestion of a visit to Groaning Tor for t'owd man's candle. First to arrive at the Rat Cafe but we are soon joined by others - 9 of us trudge up the hill to the entrance. Dues paid we return down the hill for the promised beer and chip butties at the Barley Mow, where a further 3 less dedicated cavers join us. Good Luck PDMHS 2.

Mud Mud Glorious Mud. Wednesday, 5 March 2014. Jacobs Dream Mine - AT-AC trip. We first take the upper level which is quite short with a bat at the end. Then we continue at the lower level - to the end. Back at the crossroads there is only the watery passage still to do. A good turnout for a Tuesday night sees Lampwick and I, Cave Art, CTD and the Winster Cavers getting changed at the Rat Café at the appointed time. Mud Mud Glorious Mud. Tuesday, 26 August 2014. Goodluck surveying - to the ladder. Next we survey just the end of a passage, then we go to inspect the Mk1 flow measurer. All seems to be ok so we make our way out. We exchange tallies for the key and negotiate the entrance. Now the fun part of doing the door back up.
