It is hard to believe to leave this beautiful country in a few hours. We hope to get back safely. The first days passed by very slowly, you thought the 4 weeks will not come to an end. We have been to Palm Beach, the waves there were not as high as at Whale Beach, whatever. In the evening we had diner at a place called "Austrian Club" (no kidding). Sunday, January 23, 2005. 01/22, 01/23/05 Esperance. On our way from Kalgoorlie to Esperance. We had now gone over the 5,000 miles limit. That is more than 1,800 miles more compared to our first trip on the East Coast of Australia. And we still are not done yet. The receptionist in our hotel recommended to take the Great Ocean Drive. On out second day in Esperance we drove around in Cape Le Grand National Park, which also was very impressive. For diner we had the best pizza in Australia, very yummy.

Sunday, January 16, 2005. Carnarvon is one of the bigger cities on our journey. It is famous for fruit and vegetable farms. We had again today more than 105F, so we limited our activities accordingly. We filled our stock pile of food and drinks because shopping on Sundays is no problem in Australia. Saturday, January 8, 2005. We got convinced to book a round flight over Kununurra and the Bungle Bungles. We did not regret it. OK, it wa not cheap, but it was worth it. This afternoon (2/6) we arrived in Sydney and decided to have a swim in the South Pacific Ocean first before we go and see Heidi and Ralf, but when we went to Palm Beach, there were signs warning of Bluebottles. Main agenda point of 2/8 was Helga's birhtday. We spent most of the day buying food and drinks and preparations for the evening, where we celebrated her birthday with a few friends. We decided to have a final breakfast on the next morning.
