Moving beyond the label. Home educating a child with autism. Intensive Interaction: a summary. A birthday to remember. Henry’s birthdays up to now have often been a bit of a non-event. We’ve tried hard to make them special and he’s usually enjoyed himself, but apart from an interest in birthday cake. The very best part of the day though, was his party. We held it at the West Huntspill Miniature Railway. This entry was posted in autism, ASD, intensive interaction, sensory integration, home schooling.

Baking As Therapy

Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Have I ever mentioned my love for Rachael Ray? She taught me how to cook, and for that I am forever grateful. This is one of the first of her recipes that I made, and years later, it is still one of our favorite go to dinners. This one couldn't be simpler. Look I'll show ya. Mix the cooked pasta and the sauce. (I use fresh basil and oregano when I have it, but dried will do.). Then you spoon the bechamel sauce over the pasta. Lookin' good.lookin' good. Are ya hungry yet? Baking at Huckleberries

Friday, September 4, 2009. Peanut Butter Banana Muffins. As far as I'm concerned, the only way to eat a banana is with PEANUT BUTTER. Spoonful of peanut butter plus a bite of banana. Yum.
