Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Considerable time has passed and a lot of kilometres have been run since I last posted at the start of February! Ewen was the official photographer and he did a great job! Name for the spring on Hirta, Childa in Scotland). It was so cold early in the morning of the Canberra Running Club's Half Marathon on Sunday. In fact it was minus 4 degrees when I was eating breakfast and wondering how many layers to wear! Friday, June 14, 2013. On Thursday all sportsgrounds were closed due to the recent steady rain. I worked until 2pm when I met Ewen for a coffee catch up before driving home to take Teddy out with me for my run. I was lucky in my timing as we avoided the rain. Saturday, January 31, 2015. ACT Veteran's Athletics Handicap and other events. It was fun catching up with everyone and a group of us enjoyed great coffee afterwards in Ainslie. Tagging Susan as I run up the straight. This morning I ran down to Lake Ginninderra and around it and back the same way to make a total of 15km. It is unclear why I am overloading the hamstrings on the flat, it could be to do with muscle weaknesses elsewhere such as the glutes and core. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Thursday is the new Friday. It is flippin' cold here tonight. We ran a little after work tonight and the temp was a very crisp 37. Blah! Really, I just need a better pair of running tights, mine are pretty pansy and I naturally have a cold butt to begin with. Tonight I did 4 miles, averaging around 9.12/mile. I felt like I was going around 10, so I was pretty surprised by my times. The cold air made my legs feel like molasses. PS the finale of the biggest loser was awesome!
