I woke up this morning instantly thankful for three things. 1 We once again have a substantial layer of snow on ground and it looks beautiful. 2 I get to spend the day cooking at my parent’s house. I woke up in the morning on a mission. My mission? Flour, salt, egg yolks and water about to be turned in a sticky mess. Sticky mess of dough. Ten minutes of intense kneading produces silky smooth dough.

From the small snippet of conversation I overheard in passing, I believe Mr. Pickup was about to be ticketed for not wearing his seatbelt. Benefit #876 of biking: I have never been stopped for not wearing a seatbelt. I crashed through the ice and snow, what a bumpy, loud ride! To work (10 miles). 8:15 am to 9:35 am.
