Mel's Mosaic of Life: January 2009
http://melanierutland.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 17, 2009. Some of my battlescars! This is Gentry and me in the hospital bed. I still had my triple line catheter in my neck at this point. Gentry always liked to take the balloons that people had brought up home with him! This is GROSS I know, but it's so much easier to explain sometimes with pictures. For those of you who tend to have a sick stomach at stuff like this.well, consider this your warning! The other huge bruise was from the port-a- cath. THANKSGIVING DAY IN THE HOSPITAL!

Mel's Mosaic of Life: April 2009
http://melanierutland.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2009. For your kind words of encouragement, offers for help and prayers being offered up for me and my family's behalf. It means SO MUCH to me and I know I say that all the time, but I TRULY mean it from the bottom of my heart! I have seen the general doc, the surgeon, the GI doc and the kidney doc.I am still so completely satisfied that I am with the. Right team of doctors. One last note before I go, and on a more serious note.I still do sincerely desire the strength of your pra...

Mel's Mosaic of Life: October 2008
http://melanierutland.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2008. I know I won't do the sermon justice, but I wanted to post what I could remember about Pastor Blake's sermon Sunday night. It was SO good! PS They have podcasts of all Pastor Blake's sermons available on the church website. I don't really know how to do the whole "podcast" thing, but if you know how to work it, it would definitely be worth your time to look that message up and listen to it. The website for the church is www.ckac.org. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. There was an ...

Mel's Mosaic of Life: White Shoes...Permitted!
http://melanierutland.blogspot.com/2009/09/white-shoespermitted.html
Monday, September 7, 2009. Has it REALLY been since July 18 th. That I've posted on my blog? I guess I could come up with some really good excuses, but I figure I'd just save my time to post about what's been going on in our life since I last posted. Well, those of you who know me well know that I can, at times, be a bit stubborn.and I just DID NOT want to go to the hospital AGAIN! So, this past Wednesday I went BACK to the ER via ambulance because my BP. Had gone from 162/113 to 82/46 within an hour's t...

Mel's Mosaic of Life: "Tis The Season"
http://melanierutland.blogspot.com/2009/12/tis-season.html
Monday, December 7, 2009. Busy, busy day. Dale had to go to the dentist @ 11:30.(by himself). I had an appt. With my heart doctor @ 1:00.(we met at a gas station for Dale to get Gentry). Heart doctor ordered a bunch of tests for my heart, but I told them I had a 3:00 appt. They wrote some quick orders for all these tests. Then had to schedule an echocardiogram. With Portrait Innovations where we usually get our family picture taken, as well as Gentry's birthday pictures. Then to Maggie Moo's. Tomorrow wi...
