Friday, December 17, 2010. It has caught me a little off guard this year. I just finished my tree last night. We will soon be welcoming a new member into the Sullivan family and that has consumed a lot of our thoughts this fall. My brother Ryan and his wife Christine are expecting their first child (a baby girl) very soon and so it promises to be a fun-filled baby-holding Christmas season. More on her when she arrives! Thursday, November 12, 2009. My Uncle Stan Bolinger departed this life on November 4th after a two-year battle with cancer. It has been a very sad time for our family. We just didn't have him with us long enough. We will miss him so much and I ask that you pray for strength for his dear wife, children and grandchildren. Uncle Stan, you are missed. Wednesday, May 26, 2010. These last few months haven't felt like beautiful times in my life and it's been hard to find something uplifting to write. Death is part of life, but it is not an easy thing and endeavors to suck the life and joy out of you. The one comfort I have is that my loved ones died in the faith and I will see them again one sweet day if I keep myself ready for His coming. Summer has arrived in Illinois. High 80s and low 90s. What? But she did really well this year and I'm proud of her.
