Wildlife Artwork: Four-spotted Chaser
http://wildlife-artwork.blogspot.com/2010/11/four-spotted-chaser.html
Monday, 15 November 2010. I like the idea of seeing the Four-spotted Chaser since it means Summer is just about here and many other species are not far away. 15 November 2010 at 17:06. You have captured the species quite beautifully Dick. E mail me and let me know if any are for sale and how much. I must admit thoughts of summer are very distant in my mind. I want to embrace autumn and winter and all they throw at us. I start thinking of the warmer months round about February. 16 November 2010 at 14:13.

Wildlife Artwork: More Short-eared Owls
http://wildlife-artwork.blogspot.com/2012/02/more-short-eared-owls.html
Tuesday, 28 February 2012. It seems that there are Short-eared Owls all over the area at the moment. I had a spell a couple of years ago when spotting an owl anywhere was hard work. Then on the Isle of Mull early last year we watched a shortie hunting over the fell, and its been owlfest from then on -. 28 February 2012 at 19:36. 28 February 2012 at 20:03. I didnt think that was Prestwick Carr in the background. 29 February 2012 at 17:40. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Plan - Jan 2010.

Wildlife Artwork: Background work
http://wildlife-artwork.blogspot.com/2011/03/background-work.html
Wednesday, 9 March 2011. I've still got this hang-up with sympathetic backgounds and so have been experimenting, in an attempt to best show the main subject. Am starting to favour a dark background with little detail. Here are a couple of reworked images. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Plan - Jan 2010. Wildlife Artwork: Peregrine
http://wildlife-artwork.blogspot.com/2012/05/peregrine.html
Monday, 7 May 2012. During our recent visit to the Mull of Galloway I watched a Peregrine as it perched near the top of the cliffs. Below it were increasing numbers of Razorbill, Guillemot and gulls all preparing for the breeding season. The Peregrine would not have far to travel for a meal. 7 May 2012 at 17:58. Nice work, youve got those beady eyes just right, L. 7 May 2012 at 18:08. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Plan - Jan 2010. How far I can progress, only time will tell - but here goes.

Wildlife Artwork: Gatekeeper sketch
http://wildlife-artwork.blogspot.com/2015/03/gatekeeper-sketch.html
Wednesday, 25 March 2015. Last summer I travelled to Brockadale NR, just south of Ferrybridge Power Station, and was entertained by hoards of Gatekeeper butterflies. While doing this watercolour sketch I was wondering if this weather continues warming will the butterfly creep northwards into our North East area. 25 March 2015 at 10:20. Loving all your butterfly work. They are probably one of the few species that benefit from the changing climate! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Plan - Jan 2010.

Wildlife Artwork: Goldeneye
http://wildlife-artwork.blogspot.com/2011/03/goldeneye.html
Monday, 14 March 2011. During our recent trip to Lancashire we saw lots of Goldeneye, both male and female. They were constantly diving below the surface making it difficult to see them close together. So I have tried to achieve that here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Plan - Jan 2010.
