Crafternoon!

Sunday, 14 October 2012. Helen's Bookmarks Mk 2. In 2010, I took part in the Bookmarks. Project which Sarah Bodman at UWE organises (see post here. It is a continuation of the map idea started with 'Lovers' Lanes': again each design features a route plotted between two streets in London, this time representing a great literary partnership. Helen's Best in Show badge for Graz. Was on television. My main issue with the show was that she kept saying that there was no point in her entering all these comp...

Crafternoon!: Helen's Piano Bag for Mum

http://crafternoonlondon.blogspot.com/2011/02/helens-piano-bag-for-mum.html

Sunday, 27 February 2011. Helen's Piano Bag for Mum. Mum is learning the piano so, when I saw a bag a bit like this one in Japan, I thought I would make her one. The Japanese one was printed but I appliqued the keyboard instead, using black and cream twill and then sewed it up into a neat shoulder bag that's just right for carrying around sheet music. Crafternoon!: Helen's Best in Show badge for Graz

http://crafternoonlondon.blogspot.com/2012/10/helens-best-in-show-badge-for-graz.html

Sunday, 14 October 2012. Helen's Best in Show badge for Graz. Last December, one of my good friends from work left to start a fab new job. She is also very crafty (in fact, much better than me) so her leaving party had a craft theme. It was around this time that the deeply annoying Kirstie Allsopp programme 'Kirstie's Handmade Britain'. The programme did inspire this badge which I made for Graz - all handstitched apart from a mishap with some superglue - who definitely deserved to be 'best in show'.

Crafternoon!: Helen's Wedding Invite

http://crafternoonlondon.blogspot.com/2012/10/helens-wedding-invite.html

Sunday, 14 October 2012. Alex and I got married in November last year (nearly a year ago now - feels like much. We had such a fun day with various stages - registry office ceremony with family, restaurant lunch with family and best friends, then evening party in a pub with lots of friends. I drew our bunting-inspired invitation and had them printed by Graphico. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Helens Bookmarks Mk 2. Crafternoon!: Helen's Neckerchief for Kim

http://crafternoonlondon.blogspot.com/2010/04/helens-neckerchief-for-kim.html

Sunday, 25 April 2010. Helen's Neckerchief for Kim. Is my new favourite thing. I knitted a version in wool first, following the pattern exactly. I then made this one for Kim's birthday using cotton and adjusting the pattern by narrowing the overall width and lengthening the tails. Everyone can expect one of these for their birthday for the foreseeable future. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Helens Bag for Jessica. Helens Neckerchief for Kim. Crafternoon!: Helen's Cardigans for Baby

http://crafternoonlondon.blogspot.com/2011/05/cardigans-for-baby.html

Monday, 9 May 2011. Helen's Cardigans for Baby. I made at the end of 2009. My knitting has obviously improved a lot since then as all the bits I couldn't understand those first times round (like the eyelet detail round the neck) made perfect sense this time. I'm obviously learning! 18 June 2011 at 02:04. Love the cardigans and the buttons are perfect! Clever you. Look forwad to seeing Sam wearing them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My adventures in crafts and cooking, mostly inspired by others. Monday, July 23, 2012. What seems to be a popular pin on Pinterest (or at least amongst people I follow/follow me) is this memory box. The original idea is the brainchild of this. Blogger. The basic idea is to use a shadow box to display all of your movie and event tickets in a nice way that doesn't consume much space and doesn't look too busy! I know it's super simple, but 1) all you need is. As opposed to the fancy tiered ones on Etsy).

crafternoons | every day is better with crafts

Every day is better with crafts. November 16, 2010. Today’s post has pretty much nothing to do with crafts (yet) but has everything to do with what i am thinking about at the moment. (and also has to do with the fact that i should be doing my homework for class but don’t really know how/am too lazy to figure it out. so why not write a little in my long-neglected blog to continue procrastination? Yet in case i forgot, the real purpose of me being here is to get a job. which is a little weird because i...
