Sketch #1000 – Water’s Edge. May 11, 2011 in pastel. Well This is it. My thousandth day of sketching — and my final day of posting to this blog. But I won’t stop sharing my art completely! Since this blog is almost out of space for images (I think I have 0.7% of my allotted space remaining), I’ve created a new one to hold me over until my website is finished: The Weekly Painting. Thank you for all your support! I have come a long way. Sketch #999 – Figure. May 10, 2011 in sketch. May 9, 2011 in sketch.

A Sketch a Day...
Thursday, September 6, 2012. Goodbye Sketch a Day. Hello Bearded Maladies. You're probably wondering where I've been and what I've been doing for the last nine months. Well that's awfully nosy of you, but I can assure you that I have not stopped sketching or creating art. Daily Sketcher - Butterfly in dense foliage: Heavy drawing paper, Mechanical pencil, 9" x 12", started 11-17-09.
Butterfly in dense foliage. It was easy to get drawn into the details of the butterfly; it has the most amazing markings. I also discovered upon closer inspection, that the wings appear to fold like an accordion with the lower part of each wing having approximately twice the number of folds as the top part. Urban Sketching Saint Louis Map. Monday, December 5, 2016. Frank hilzerman: An example of comic simplicity. On a recent trip to the used book store I found some inspirational material. I was looking for some books to show a variety of things that can be done with drawing. The book on comics was especially of interest since it showed how a few well placed lines can convey such humor and emotion. Http:/ grizandnorm.tumblr.com. It reminds me of the simplicity of some sumi ink drawings that I did in 2009.
