Flash animation - Animated music notes with motion guides and tweening

http://www.dailysketcher.com/animation.html

I created this animation in Adobe Flash. The notes follow a motion guide that causes them to wander about the page before settling onto the staff lines. The note size was set for the first and last frames with the Flash program creating the frames between the two (tweening). Click to see animation.

Pencil sketch of a rose

http://www.dailysketcher.com/sketchRose2.html

Heavy colored art paper. I decided to try another rose. The first one I drew came out with a heavier look than I wanted. The drawing did not portray the thin delicate petals that I saw. This time I used a heavier paper with a slight texture and a bit of color. I also tried using crosshatch instead of blending. I like this result much better. Click to see larger image.

About the Daily Sketcher - Cynthia Starnes Tracy

http://www.dailysketcher.com/about.html

About the Daily Sketcher. I also plan to work on learning to paint. I have tried a few paintings in the past with acrylic, pastel, and gouache, but would like to try some water color. Sometimes I start a sketch and realize that I would really like to add color. I also plan to include pages for my other projects such as knitting, paper models, and any other endeavor that might fall under crafts and such. Hope you enjoy the website!

The Daily Sketch

Sketch #1000 – Water’s Edge. May 11, 2011 in pastel. Well This is it. My thousandth day of sketching — and my final day of posting to this blog. But I won’t stop sharing my art completely! Since this blog is almost out of space for images (I think I have 0.7% of my allotted space remaining), I’ve created a new one to hold me over until my website is finished: The Weekly Painting. Thank you for all your support! I have come a long way. Sketch #999 – Figure. May 10, 2011 in sketch. May 9, 2011 in sketch.

A Sketch a Day...

Thursday, September 6, 2012. Goodbye Sketch a Day. Hello Bearded Maladies. You're probably wondering where I've been and what I've been doing for the last nine months. Well that's awfully nosy of you, but I can assure you that I have not stopped sketching or creating art. I've decided to retire the "sketch a day" project and start fresh with a new blog that is devoted to my art practice in general. And don't forget to follow and bookmark it while you're there either. Sunday, January 1, 2012. I'm glad tha...

Daily Sketcher - Butterfly in dense foliage: Heavy drawing paper, Mechanical pencil, 9" x 12", started 11-17-09.

Butterfly in dense foliage. It was easy to get drawn into the details of the butterfly; it has the most amazing markings. I also discovered upon closer inspection, that the wings appear to fold like an accordion with the lower part of each wing having approximately twice the number of folds as the top part. Daily Sketchbooks

Urban Sketching Saint Louis Map. Monday, December 5, 2016. Frank hilzerman: An example of comic simplicity. On a recent trip to the used book store I found some inspirational material. I was looking for some books to show a variety of things that can be done with drawing. The book on comics was especially of interest since it showed how a few well placed lines can convey such humor and emotion. Http:/ grizandnorm.tumblr.com. It reminds me of the simplicity of some sumi ink drawings that I did in 2009.

Daily Sketch

Sunday, April 15, 2012. Prasad spotted Naina, his 9'0 clock student, standing near their practice car. He signalled her to wait. A glance on his faded wrist watch showed the time as 8.45. Collecting the Yaris keys from the front desk he proceeded to the tea stall to sip his fourth cup of tea. Today’s morning events had toppled her world upside down. I will marry you to a guy who can afford a driver for you.”. She never got an opportunity to drive the car again. Some friends suggested that agents in nearb...

Sketch Pad

Sunday, August 24, 2008. Friday, August 22, 2008. So as my work load has increased with class I have neglected drawing other things not affiliated with class. Thinking about things I would like to start drawing I pondered (as you do) that I enjoyed a class project where we had to draw monsters. So I knocked this up quickly (really quickly for me! So here is the first of hopefully many monster sketches. Saturday, August 9, 2008. Friday, August 1, 2008. You can see the original sketch here. First thing tha...
