Somewhere in the Middle. Middle class, middle aged and not apologising for it. Someone has to be in the middle, dammit. From the archive: Beijing #4. From the archive: Beijing #6. From the archive: Beijing #5. July 22, 2014. The Wild China series has been fantastic. I saw the first couple before I left the UK and may consider looking for dvds of the rest if they’re not available on i-player when I get back. Then I went for more pampering. Actually, it was torture of the hair removing kind but at least it...

Somewhere in the Middle. Middle class, middle aged and not apologising for it. Someone has to be in the middle, dammit. OK This year I’m going to try to do it properly. The idea is that I will note and comment on every book I read in 2009. I had thought that I’d be able to make subpages for each book, accessible from this. Tab – but apparently not. If anyone wants to see what I’ve been reading, they’ll have to cast their eyes over the box marked. At the top of the right hand column. Feed for this Entry.

The large cat enclosures were similarly poignant and had their own unique fragrance. At one point we wished we’d had a guidebook for Chinese birds. There’s one which looks similar ...

Perspective depends on where you stand…terra cogito. Don’t know why, but it seems like a good idea. July 13, 2011. So, thanks to a friend, I’m over at Google , testing the waters. Just that I can control who sees what is a plus over Facebook…I’m so tired of having folks I didn’t talk to about my politics/religion/whatever coming back at me, when there was a reason I hadn’t brought it up with them! Got some good features, and I’m hoping it’s going to be great, once more join the party. Leave one →. Everyo...

Perspective depends on where you stand…terra cogito. New member of the family…. December 13, 2010. I think of him as my internet nephew — I reconnected with my nephew Rob and met his wife Noelle on Facebook, after nagging my brother to get a Facebook account. Through that, I also got to see my niece’s daughter for the first time, for all she’s 18 now. All I need to do now is get my WoW-obsessed sister to get on Facebook, so I can see *her* kids.
