Tidbits of Joy: The latest in pictures
http://tidbitsofjoy.blogspot.com/2011/05/latest-in-pictures.html
What a life we live! Friday, May 27, 2011. The latest in pictures. Marge came to visit in February and we took her skiing for the first (and last) time. She was a trooper and her Iowa friends were seriously impressed. Selah didn't have the patience for Grandma, though, and opted to ski laps around her instead of wait. Visits from Grandma Margie are so special- S gets her undivided attention 100% of the time. They have a very sweet connection. Dad and I. I'm about 24 weeks here. Maui is for lovers. I ran ...

What a life we live! Saturday, January 8, 2011. Goofy blon.de toddler is now a skier. Selah is now 21 months and SO FUN to be around. She snuggles, is a non-stop talker, constantly laughs, plays, loves school. We are truly excited to be bringing #2 into the world. Selah makes our world so much better, I can't wait to see what the next one does. Selah very much looks up to her friend Juniper, who is a good example of safety. Wes skinning up something in the vast Teton backcountry. A friend and I took her ...

What a life we live! Monday, April 26, 2010. Out for a hike with Selah while Mike ran. She loves being in her backpack and took a long nap and then snacked on a bar. Links to this post. Desert RATS 25 mile race report. Felt a little slow in the beginning, got stronger as the race went on, a course personal best of 4:20:33, a PR by 18 minutes, finished 4th woman overall and felt incredible at the end, was literally jumping up and down with excitement. Happy girl. This was my 4th Desert RATS. The race gave...

What a life we live! Sunday, February 28, 2010. Yesterday was a great day. It started out right with a long run with El. We planned on running for an hour and a half or so and ended up doing 2 1/2 hours, 17.5 miles, 1800 feet of elevation gain, followed by a steep power hike up a nearby trail. Training training training! Round 2 facing off with Kitty Krusher. I hung on for a long time, but couldn't beat her. There were some really strong ladies in attendance! Posted by Mike Schneiter. Tidbits of Joy: Zeke's home birth story
http://tidbitsofjoy.blogspot.com/2011/08/zekes-home-birth-story.html
What a life we live! Monday, August 1, 2011. Zeke's home birth story. I know I'm tardy on posting about many happenings around here, but I have to get Z's birth story out while it is still fresh in my mind. So, here it is! I hit the trails with both kids in the Chariot today and banged out 4 or 5 miles without an issue. Ok, NOW for the birth story. Jasmine said she gave me from 11:30-12:42 for active labor and those last 5 minutes for pushing. This labor was infinitely easier than the first. Yeah...Now w...

What a life we live! Sunday, February 27, 2011. Living where most people go on vacation. And this is why we live in a vacation town. There is just so much to DO! Here are some pictures, just a sampling of our last 2 weeks. We watched wind whip prayer flags atop a local backcountry peak. Mike took this picture on an after work ski date with Selah. We went for a climbing-outing-turned-hike on a very muddy trail. We watched our cute little girl run down the sidewalk in her sweater from Great Grandma Claire.

What a life we live! Thursday, March 25, 2010. Grandaddy has been reading to Selah every night since daddy can't be here. Even though S braved a 15 mile hike in the backpack yesterday, she still had a smile on her face for today's backpack ride. If you look closely, you should see a praying mantis oriented vertically and facing right. We came upon this 5 inch long insect on our hike today and she was beautiful! Links to this post. Tidbits of Joy: 18 weeks and running again!
http://tidbitsofjoy.blogspot.com/2011/02/today-was-much-needed-great-day.html
What a life we live! Thursday, February 17, 2011. 18 weeks and running again! Today was a much needed great day. We kept S home from school because she woke up with a fever in the middle of the night, but she really did okay all day. This meant that I got to spend the day with her, which makes me so happy! I am so happy! I'm 18 weeks and nauseous most of the day, worse than in my first trimester. Ugh. Why then, you ask, would you choose to go through this again? And of course, belly shots! Baby is sittin...
