2012 Kona Race Report | EastCoastCrib
http://eastcoastcrib.com/archives/2044
2012 Hawaiian Ironman – I wan’t my mommy STAT. Please Note: This race took me a long time to complete …. so, this report/story is a long one. Friday is a rest day and it’s a great time to cram some last minute carbs in. Big breakfast at Denny’s and a small sub for lunch. We are gonna do an Ironman! It feels real fast and I don’t like it. Why? What the freak has just happened? I still have 23 miles to cover. My first thought is should I pack it in? Well here are the lyrics I hear. And I would walk 500 more.
Hawaiian Ironman 2012 Pre-Race Report | EastCoastCrib
http://eastcoastcrib.com/archives/2020
The Hawaiian Ironman – What’s the big deal? Note: As I sit on the plane, I have hours and hours to ramble on. Read on if you have nothing better to do. That statement has sat in the back of my brain for years. What’s the big deal about this race in Kona? Dave Scott, Mark Allen and Paula Newby-Fraiser where the names I knew . but I didn’t know a lot about the race. Who would want to swim 2.4 miles? Yes, you work hard to achieve goals in life. We all need these goals to succeed and then we need to set ...
Lake Placid 2014 Ironman Race Report | EastCoastCrib
http://eastcoastcrib.com/archives/2139
Lake Placid Ironman 2014 – Wild Day in the Adirondacks. Please note: if you are offended by old sweaty guys who write long winded gibberish …. you might just like this. 8230; Honey I’ll be 6 hours late for dinner, I thought I could run the marathon. But instead I’m walking and I had to stop and charge the phone. Or, maybe they are just updating their blog …… Hmmm, this is giving me some ideas to be a better blogger. This would give you more reading time during work! It’s a win, win. Fast forward to 2014.

Check out the Rides. 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396. Bought this beast in 1999 from a friend. It was sitting on his farm and needed some TLC. 4 years later we brought it back to life. 1956 Chevrolet Nomad Bel-Air. The Nomad is the coolest station wagon ever built. We found this one in Florida and it was already restored. 2002 Harley Davidson FatBoy. Traded a buddy for this one. Pretty much love at first sight. After the honeymoon I cut her up and put the wide tire kit and many other upgrades. What am I on?
What am I on? …………… Im on my bike | EastCoastCrib
http://eastcoastcrib.com/archives/1623
What am I on? 8230;………… Im on my bike. It is what makes us who we are. We also learn throughout life that the harder you push, the harder those around you will push too. 19 years ago I did my first Triathlon, I didn’t have 1 friend who did them. Now I have 100’s of friends who do. Hmmmmmm ………. But, it’s only January and my bike fitness isn’t exactly fine tuned. What the hell, It can’t hurt to try. Day 6 is my final day and I have a 7-8 mile run. Wow! Close to 1000 oz. of fluids consumed. The local bike s...

Just another age group triathlete blog. Wednesday, October 24, 2012. IMWC Part 3: The Bike. Age groupers all around. Don't believe me? The wind and the heat aren't really bothering me as I clip off mile by mile on the Queen K (most likely because I can't feel the heat because the wind is pushing me around at 25mph). The aid stations come fast and frequently and as a result my nutrition intake is following suit. As I continue riding I hear someone passing me that shouts, "Paul? After taking full advantage...

Just another age group triathlete blog. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Westfield Wave Race Recap. The last few months have been beyond busy and I still can't believe how quickly they have gone by. One minute I am venturing to ride outside and the next minute Syracuse is here which means Lake Placid is only 4 weeks away! Speedo in order to promote my friend Courtney's blog (check it out). I was really looking forward to this race because it was so short and you get to put the pedal to the metal the entire time.

Just another age group triathlete blog. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Syracuse 70.3 Race Report. From what I had read from my friend Matt. This was low. I was hoping to be in the 230s at a minimum however by keeping HR and PRE in check meant the power suffered. Knowing the back half of the course was net downhill I decided at that moment to really push it and see what kind of power I could maintain leading into the run. Here is how the 2 halves of the bike compared:. He proceeded to take off at some stupid f...

Just another age group triathlete blog. Friday, October 12, 2012. 2012 Ironman Lake Placid Race Report:. This year we had breakfast at the Crowne Plaza on top of the hill in town. It had a great view and an awesome all you can eat option. This allowed me to get a huge jump start on the day's carbo loading. After breakfast the remainder of the day was spent eating, resting, and going over the ever important race plan. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Belchertown, MA, United States. Just another age group triathlete blog. Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Because I was given this new opportunity I thought it better to put all my chips in one basket and cut the 2011 season short following USAT nationals in August. This allowed me to take an early off season and really gear up for the start of training come December. So will it happen? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Belchertown, MA, United States. Just another age group triathlete blog. Sunday, March 6, 2011. This time last Sunday I was getting home from the Hyannis Half Marathon. Last time I was at this race was in 2008 and I was doing the full in prep for Ironman Lake Placid later that year. I was thrilled to be going back this year and only having to do one lap! My goal for this race was to be faster than the Westfield Half last April (1:25 and change). I have been doing a lot of running with Ochoa outside on Tuesdays and Thursdays and we b...

EastCoastCrib - Random thoughts of nothing important
Here we go again, history repeating! The good . the bad . and the ugly. We like cake . and ice cream. Need a fall challenge? How about this: 100 miles with 10,000 ft. of climbing. Nothing to do….Bored out of your mind? Some random thoughts about not much. Just a couple skinny triathletes trying to lift things up and put them down. Nothing like some old muscle cars and a bad ace Harley. Life has many obstacles and road blocks. We crank out endurance sports to help keep us sane. What am I on?

Saturday, April 14, 2012. The Unknown. aka the real world. It was like quicksand slowly suffocating me, just when it seemed as though I was never going to see the sun again. A hand reached in and pulled me out. Who was it? Whose hand had reached in and saved my life? Was it an angel? Was it a family member? Was it a friend? Is there anything i can help you with? If I did join would i stick with it? When I got back to school, I settled into my place and got right back into school mode again. However, ...
